Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum of every subject subject in the Delhi University revised after the introduction of National Education Policy 2020. Frankly,Political Science Hons. Syllabus includes to kuch philosophy, constitution, Administration ,Political Thoughts etc.which is really helpful and allign with UPSC PSIR Optional syllabus if you are willing to appear for the UPSC exam

Internships Opportunities

5

College not provides internship but central department of our department provide internship for working inside the university, although we found internships of different companies and firms, also social science students have lesser option for internship in companies but getting internship in Sansad tv, Niti aayog is a privilege.

Placement Experience

5

Hardly any college provides placement after completing course in social science subjects. But Social Science student can score good in the government exams.often students who pursue Political Science Honours appear for the Union Public Service Civil Service Examination

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual Fees Structure for pursuing BA(Hons.)Political Science is same for all reservation categories i.e ?10905/- except PwD i.e ?105/-. Mentioned fees structures includes everything like Tution fees, library fees, Gym fees etc.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure highly demotivated me when I got this college but people I found here and faculties are blessing. Our DCAC college I think equipped with all necessity except decks we celebrate every event together peacefully.

Admission

I got this college in the first list also I impress by searching about this college.so, I decided to pursue my livable course Political Science hons.from here. Its location was also okayed, though I listed all college of North Campus above it so I knew hardly my college will be upgraded in the next list

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ration is poor not only in or college but in whole Delhi University, sometimes 2 people have to adjust on a single seat, first come first serve basis to get a proper seat. Faculties are good but not all, they hold impressive education degrees from prestigious institution like JNU (Jawahar Lal University) and DU (Delhi University), their research works are very good and valuable, their pedagogy includes discipline along with friendliness nature; cricket shorts, high tea sip along with making and submitting assignment on accurate date makes balance which helps to improve overall personality. Krushna Chichuan sir ,Shashank Tiwari sir, Gopla sir, Sudhir parida sir are the gems of JNU and now of our college they have tons of knowledge and skills to teach, but also some faculties are not concerned they only done formalities. In each semester 3 disciplines of chosen course are compulsory, one VAC (Value Addition Course) and SEC(Skill Enhancement Course) can be choosen from a list provide by college and It can be changed by choice in every semester repetion is not allowed, G E (Generic Elective) consist same marks as discipline subjects but it would be pursue from different department other than parent department like History department,English Department etc. And last AEC(Ability Enhancement Course) which includes the Environmental Science and regional language it changes in alternatively in each semester. Exams are common for all Delhi University neither hard not difficult making class notes, listen lectures regularly, and revising them accordingly can help to score good markks. Question often repeatedly ask least chance to see any new question .

Night Life

5

I am a Delhi resident so I have not much idea but or college close the entry after 5PM sharply and our college is not residential, but my friends reside near the college like South Extension,Delhi Haat,Sarojni nagar etc. Their experiences are good and memorable.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
