Course Curriculum Overview

3

Some professor were good they used to attain our classes on regular basis but some of were teachers methods not so productive for us like we had to do more practice and learning by ourselves There can be a lot of improvement in the learning of children by making them interactive in the class so that more and more children start attending the classes instead of just giving exams unnecessarily.

Internships Opportunities

4

There were many societies inside my college which provided internship opportunities, source of earning, basics of your skills which encouraged you to try something new and I tried one internship, but I could not crack its interview because their interviews are of very difficult level, but you definitely get the experience of giving an interview

Fees and Financial Aid

I was paying 7500 annually and separately I used to pay my examination fees per semester almost 750 but there was no scholarship benefits in all my three year of college. I could wish there should be some benefits to refund my fees but there was no facility like that.

Campus Life

5

my campus was small but it was good, there were not very good facilities but not even a km, I enjoyed a lot and I used to roam around, everything used to go on, especially in the seminar hall where events took place, the guests came, their lectures were very knowledgeable, the leanings were there.

Admission

i scored 79.8 in my best four subjects. In the beginning I was very much interested in taking Psychology subject but my second option was History. So I took admission in Kalindi college in the third cutoff list of the second and third colleges. My cutoff matched that. Later I saw Psychology in other colleges. My cutoff had come up so I thought of applying in that and did apply but I did not know that the first college would go through my hands and in the second college my name did not come up in counselling and I would have to take Tradesman and I faced a lot of problem because both the colleges had already been selected without my pass. Then I gathered courage and thought that it does not matter what, I have to take admission in regular college. Then I applied the whole day after 5th cutoff and 6th cutoff and in the evening I went to Satyawati College, there is history in it. I saw it and applied and at 7:30 in the evening I got an email that your admission has been confirmed, then I felt really happy. After that my remaining 3 years were much leaning phases than college and I achieved a lot of achievements for which I will always be grateful.

Faculty

5

my professor was very good but since I was very busy with NCC activities, especially in camps there was an issue with attendance and rest of the time my professor was very supportive..but like some professor were so Some professors were very careful in giving marks for the assignments, rest I was also a part of my history department society, so giving lectures in the seminar, attaining them, I got to learn a lot from all this and it came in handy in life.

Interview Experience

5

I did not face any GD or interview for admission it was a very simple but competitive eligibility criteria for the admission First of all you have to fill the admission form of DU after that when the result of 12th will be declared then update your marks in it then on the basis of marks won on the first cutoff and second cutoff whatever subjects are given, select CLG according to your interest but always prefer the faculty or the subject which you like, give that which is best for you in future

Night Life

5

The most famous shop near my college is Panditji's famous paratha shop which is famous in the whole city and at a distance of half an hour from my college there is Sudama Chai wala South Camps streets and there are a lot more places to explore where you can spend the best 3 years of your life.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
