Course Curriculum Overview

3

I just wanted to do political course from Delhi University so I enrolled in this college because this college is only at a kilometre distance from my home. My political course prepares students for thinking critically and effectively which help in discussion making skills. According to me the exams are more likely to be easy for all students who take classes regularly.

Internships Opportunities

3

There are many societies in my college which provide internship programs for students. Bcom social, e cell society etc. I don't know the company names but those companies are not a thousand crore company.

Placement Experience

3

In my college in 3rd year students can apply for placements. In my college highest package pf placement is 8 lac per annum.and an average package of 2.5 lac per annum. 15-20 % of students got their placement every year. But for my course there is no placement. We have to learn skills for getting placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college is Dr. Bhim rao ambedkar college of Delhi University. Fee structure is like normal, my yearly fee charges is around "thirteen thousand seven hundred rupees". But this is for my category there are different yearly fee for different categories but not that high difference. Anyone can get admission in my college by attempting CUET UG entrance exam, there is only registration fee per subject you want to attempt that exam. There is no other charges for labs etc that's all include in your yearly fee of your course. I don't know about scholarships of my college but there are some in college societies which provide the benefit of internships and scholarships for students. Financial aid is only for EWS students.

Campus Life

3

My overall experience of my college life is not that great but it's fine. I never faced any problem in my entire journey. My college have Delhi University's largest library with 2 floors of library. There are many books and journals in my library. There are labs and some special classrooms in which a projector is placed on the ceiling. There are many societies in my college by which students can gain knowledge.

Admission

I attempted CUET UG entrance exam for getting addmission in college. I only filled Delhi University form for my education. I wanted to get admission in delhi university only. I don't think thatin my course the college will benefit anything. I just wanted to get addmission in delhi university for my graduation. Students have to prepare and attempt CUET UG entrance exam for getting addmission in any university their are many universities which accepts CUET results for addmission.

Faculty

3

I don't know the exact number faculty to student ratio but by my experience their are 250+ of faculty and 1400+ students it's like 5 to 6 students per teacher. our faculty is very supportive to those students who ask questions. They answer very politely. Even I saw a teacher is teaching only 3 students in a single room. I like Dr. Nalin Kumar and Dr. Anju mam they are political faculty and they know how to manage students properly. Their is a social work department teacher Dr. Jitendra nagar sir, he have 2 classes in a week but he never came in a single class.

Night Life

3

There are many spots in my college where someone can hangout with friends. But my college surrounding area is not that good. There is a gym for sports students only and a big canteen of 50+ sitting in a single service.at a time. There is a auditorium of 250+ seats.

Other Applied Colleges

Dr. Bhim rao ambedkar University | Bachelor of arts (psychology)

Distance from home is not good for me. Wasting time

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
