Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum has a financial exposure as well as the entrepreneurship exposure this influenced me the most My course according to me is a very real course as my course teaches that how exactly MONEY is made and circulated all over the world each and every aspect of it is in the course I suggest that the course should be more based on practical knowledge and not that much in the graphs

Internships Opportunities

4

As of the name of the companies there are more than 50 companies that visit our campus for placements but about the roles i have no idea beacuse i am a newbie too There are n number of projects that you can choose and be a part of a great journey

Placement Experience

3

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements I am a newbie so i don't have much knowledge about the placemets abd companies etc. The average package is 3 LPA The highest package is around 5-6 LPA 50 percent of students are getting placements After the degree am gonna do cfa as well as mba from italy and become an investment banker after that

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees we pay is 13,800 and this is the tution fess apart from this the examination fee per semester is 1100 to 2000 somwhere in between apart from this there are no official charges from college's side i am from obc ncl

Campus Life

4

No fests Our college has the biggest library in all the universities of delhi so i guess we have around thousands of books there is no shortage of knowledge in the campus No facilities as such in the classroms just the basic room :- 4-5 fans, a blackboard, educomp, desks etc. As about the groups and societies there are n number of groups and socities actuvely working

Admission

I applied for iims and all other du and i got selected un many du colleges and from all those this one was better than others I applied at iims for bba plus mba courses vut got rejected and i guess it was because there was a lack of prepration for the entrance otherwise it is not that difficult to crack an iim college its easy In my college its under du and the entrance exam u have to give is cuet

Faculty

4

Student to facilty ratio is 40:1 all the faculties are well deserved if the subjects they teach but when it comes to approch we cannot approach all as the more the proffesor is the more difficult it is to have even a minute extra with him/her afyer the class According to me the best faculty is Ms. SHRUTI she teaches MME in 1st sem of ba economics hons. And she is so understanding she listens to each and every one pf the students problems be it a stufy related issue or college related or personal issue or even financial issue she tries to slove as much issues as she can by her self There are a total of 7 exams in wach sem and each and wvery subject that emwe study in every semester is very important and totally relevant to the course and in these 7 subjects 4 are elective subjects that u can select on your own from a list of various subjects so its your own responsibility to select a relevant subject or something that is in your intrest and will help you in future.

Night Life

5

No night life as such as i am a day scholar and as of the best spot in the college i have to say that the canteen. There are no hostels in our college everyone take pgs near the college Famous place inside the campus to sit are near the mew building and the canteen and also the place under the main stairs And outside is behind the college there's a chai tapri and a maggie point and a chole kulche point too thats the main adda

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
