Likes
- Extra curricular societies like dance, music, theatre society and various events held in college to add a flavour of joy and happiness
- Environment is really good and college is situated at a central area in Delhi, a person would have no difficulty as there's nothing bus and metro service to reach the college
- Teachers of all the departments especially the English department are really friendly and Frank and they give their best to make the learning healthy and positive.
Dislikes
- Canteen food is decent in taste and there are not all the listed items available
- The ground is still closed and not opened as they're claiming that the best work is still going on there and it would be opened soon.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for English department is very good, the chapters are interesting and provide really beautiful life lessons. Each and every novel has its own significance and deals with an important issue of life and at the end leaves a really beautiful message for the audience.
Internships Opportunities
Being in the very first year I've not opted or looked for any internship as of now but I've heard a lot about various intership programs our College provides in collaboration with big named companies like wipro, etc etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm in the first year right now in Zakir Husain Delhi College Evening, I've opted for BA hons English course. I'm finding it too interesting to pursue this course. The College provides other helpful subjects too as your side subjects. The campus is really good and the environment is friendly. All the teachers are cooperative and helpful. There are various societies and sports clubs you can choose among to showcase your talent and skills. In a year a lot of college events take place where you can provide your contribution in any manner. There are intramural and extramural tournaments too for various sports like cricket, judo, table tennis, taekwondo etc. The tuition fees is quite affordable starting from around 6.5 k to 12-15k per annum varying from course to course. The new building is going to be opened very soon, it is the biggest building in Delhi University having 2 floor parking and huge classrooms with other various facilities. There is a team against bullying too known as anti bullying squad which makes sure no fresher is bullied by the seniors. Being a college from off campus Zakir Husain Delhi College Evening is really a worthy college which provides lots of opportunities for a student to grow mentally, physically and socially.
Campus Life
There are lots of events take place in the college campus and each one of them is equally joyful and amazing. All the students celebrate and enjoy the events as if we all are a family which is true as the enviornment of the college is just like a family only.
Admission
I belong to commerce background but didn't score good in cuet exam. I was looking for various colleges while preparing my preference list and Zakir Hussain Delhi College was one of my favs as it is a blend of good academic as well as extra curricular facilities.
Faculty
All the faculty members are really good and I'm lucky to have so good teachers in our English department. I've opted for economics as my General elective subject and there's a professor named Dr. Jai Kishan sir. he is the best teacher I've ever met, his way of teaching, keeping the students engaged and explaining the things in detail is awesome. He makes extra sacrifices and efforts so that we students can learn more and more.
Night Life
There are various amazing spots in the campus to hang out with your friends. Some of them I personally like are canteen, another canteen, area behind the New College building, ground and terrace. The other canteen known as chhoti canteen has become the favourite spot of our dance society and we all gather together there and have fun.
