Academic faculty the campus and labs plus the classes are very big

Just the work overload a little bit that’s it but that’s ovbs

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose botany hons for the sake of studying about plants and stuff and it's very much interesting now Plus the teachers in clg teach us in a way that it's much more interesting and engaging nd make us want to know more about it

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Don't know about the names of companies but there's a placement cell and it helps us get internships The most recent one was related to ai and a lot of people applied to it So it's very good and internships related to ai is definitely very good as it gives us exposure

Placement Experience

As im in my first year so dont know much about placements yet But some possible career options after competing this course is first to go for masters obviously U can be a teacher or go in research field

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees as general category was 20495 rupees for first year and additional examination fee for first sem that was around 1000 nd vary according to the course. The fees is very much affordable as compared to any other private college

Campus Life

The campus life is very good The seniors are very much helpful All the clubs are very much fair in their selection they don't favour the student they know but select on a specific criteria and their skills

Admission

It's a government college and also a part of Delhi university Also all the reviews and everything were very much up to the mark which helped me decide among colleges Its campus infrastructure is all very good

Faculty

The teachers are very much good They pay attention to their students teach well and all the practical classes are held properly nd they take care of everything They provide appropriate study material nd guide properly

Night Life

You can be in campus till 5:30 after that there's no allowance to be in college There's a canteen and a cafeteria The food is very much affordable and tasty as well There's a library in our college a very big library with plenty of space to sit in and it's quite

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Likes

Greenery of college campus and surrounding areas
Close metro access and other basic amenities
Diverse crowd which allows good exposure overall

Dislikes

Wifi Network is slow and not available at all places in campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

venky is one of the best college in south campus

Likes

ratio of girls to boys is almost equal and students are well behaved
quality of social interaction is good students are cooperative
college societies are helpful for students and provide good guiding

Dislikes

our campus have 30+ dogs which is sometimes harmful for students
there is a language barrier between students and teachers
EVs faculty is very strict and they are not cooperative

The life at SVC

Likes

The fees is quite affordable, giving you a lot of flexibility for other academic programs/ commitments
The college has a great reputation and brand value
The exposure that the college provides in real life

Dislikes

The infrastructure is old and outdated, has a lot of scope for improvement
The administrative work is very slow and includes too much formalities
Low focus on co curricular activities and sports

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Likes

the location, nearest metro station ie Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus is at a walking distance of 2-5 mins
the crowd, students are quite decent and friendly.
opportunities, in college itself there are so many opportunities for students to explore through college societies

Dislikes

classes are canceled sometimes without any prior notice which creates a hassle for students coming from far away.

Placement Experience:

the placements of sri venkateswara college are quite good. campus placements are offered for third and fourth year students to the best of my knowledge. the average ctc offered was of 6.43 lacs, highest of 13.4 lpa. many great companies like bain and company, bcg, ey, deloitte, pwc, goldman sachs, accenture, rsa offered placements. in total, 70+ companies came and about 115+ students were placed.

I like the atmosphere in our college. Our college promotes us to think beyond the boundaries.
We have lush green campus in vivek vihar . Our campus is surrounded by parks and we'll managed societies.
The student in our college share a very good mindset . Each student has some unique qualities or the other .

Dislikes

The faculty is not very good here . The teachers don't listen to problems faced by the students .
Our college's online presence is very disturbed. Our college website lags a lot and there are always issues with attendence.
The authorities are not very well managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

Likes

The College provides great Exposure to everyone.
The Crowd and Societies of the College are always active and energetic.

Dislikes

The whole structure of Admin office is underdeveloped, which utilizes a lot of our precious time.
Many of the College events are ill-organised.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Dislikes

Infrastructure of the college is worst. There is lack of proper buildings for classes. The canteen area is also not good. There is lack of complete apparatus in physics and chemistry labs. There are so many issues like broken seats and materials.
The college lacks a dedicated placement. There is limited structure support for students. Students have to secure internships and job offers through their personal efforts.
There is absence of societies and extra curricular activities. While the college has some clubs and events. The college does encourage students to engage in activities.
