What Students Say

Likes

They provide Gym, library, canteen and clean washrooms. Infrastructure is really nice that divides the crowd very perfectly. Classrooms are big and seat are comfortable for the students. Faculty is approachable.
Faculty is really nice. Their teaching patterns are absolutely nice. They provide the extra classes to the students if needed and also provide the theirs reference books to the students. Helps the students and really polite.
They provide Gym facility to the students and also provide sports tools to the students. Functions and activities for the students on monthly basis. Award functions to encourage the students and faculty to perform their role by their best abilities.

Dislikes

Sports students are not organised. Created mess in canteen which impacts the atmosphere.
Admit card and attendance issues faced by the administration. Management doesn't work on time.
Teachers cancel the classes before 30mins or 10 mins. Sometimes not update the student that they cancelled the classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would like to rate 9/10. The knowledge is relevant. The course covers all the aspects which is required in the course. They can improve the Hindi faculty. The faculty was not polite and rude too.Teachings methods were really good in the college. Teachers conduct activities like role play and group discussions. Exams was conducted on time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees of the college is 12,000 approx. So, it increases year to year. There are some relaxation for Category like SC, ST. Fees concessions according to their category. Yes, they provide the scholarships to the students.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is really good and big. Seperate halls for each club. They provide enough time for practice. They take care of students time for classes and club practice. I was in dance group and I lead it too. Nukad natak and social gatherings conducted serveral times in a month. Fest conducted superbly in this college.

Admission

It comes under top college. Their infrastructure and faculty is good. Its a girls college which was my prefrence at that time. The admission process is simple and convinient. They properply divides the room for each courses. Sitting arrangements was good at that time.Cuttoffs are good for average students as well.

Faculty

The faculty and student ratio is 1:40. They are very approachable to the students. Also very friendly towards the students. History faculty and political science faculty is best. Hindi faculty is really rude and their teaching patterns are not good. Weekly tests are their for semester exams. 6 exams per semester will be there. Provide proper and nice desks to students in exam hall. Few students only in single digit who fail sometimes.

Night Life

Gym is good and big. Machines are good over there. Their is no hostel facility so students took PGs. Famous place to hangout is Punjabi bagh club road. Cafes and lounges are there. Students do their parties and chill out there in free time. Zero degrees was my favourite at that time.

Kamala Nehru College: Where Opportunity awaits

Likes

I really liked the environment of the college as there was a diverse set of students coming from across the country.
The faculty was top notch and was very dedicated and knowledgeable. If we faced any issue they would come up to help us deal with it.
Also i liked the infrastructure of the college as they recently added a new building and have improved a lot in sports equipments and facilities.

Dislikes

The admin section of the college is very slow and it is a hassle to deal with them. Half a time they are either on a break or on lunch.
There is sometimes non availability of chairs in classrooms like there are approx 40 chairs in each classroom but if the strength of the class is more then we have to borrow it from the next classroom.
Also you will have to take up some additional course which sometimes feel unnecessary but its not only in this particular college but in all the colleges under University of Delhi.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

Likes

I liked the environment and the crowd of the college, and also my professors. Like seriously they are so helpful and kind
Also what I like about this college is that it's liberal unlike other colleges of North campus
I love the ashoka lawn and the big ground in front of the gym

Dislikes

I hate the staff, especially the technical staff ( Ankita Jain ), I went to her with erp portal issue and she just didn't look after my issue properly and sent me away. It was totally unexpected. She must be removed from her position.
The canteen staff, I didn't like their behaviour
Some of the seniors are shit and not helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it 9 out of 10. The reason is simple, whatever my professors teach and everything that is there in my syllabus is really helpful for my future. Not just that, they way lectures are delivered by the professors is just awesome

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

College provides a free environment for sports.
It is ragging free college and many anti ragging laws are here
One of the best features of our college is it in origanising seminar time to time.

Dislikes

There is a issue in time table uncertain classes are a problem for us
So high attendance criteria makes us in trouble.
There are not hostal facility which make a critical situation.

I chose the course because I want to become ias.approximately 100students in class . . Many proofesser are highly educated like PhD ma etc our faculty offers many opportunities.There are 6 semester in 3 years and 2 in each year .it is normal to crack the exam but hard to get High marks

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
