Course Curriculum Overview

5

The college curriculum is not that bad, but many students over here can't adopt to that, because some people will be theoretical good and some will be practically good and in most of the subjects we need to memorize a lot of things...

Internships Opportunities

4

Their are two types of internship, research internship and company internship which can be done either in winter or in summer vacations. I did a research internship during winter break under my department professor which was quite good. We have a training and placement cell in the campus which will take care of the internship and placement related things, it is better to get internship off campus if you didn't get it on campus.

Placement Experience

4

The placements through college are good but most of the students over here are interested in startups and government jobs, sonthey will not sit for the placements which is given my the college itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Their are two fees, one is hostel fees and the other is institute fees, everybody who is studing in the college must pay the institute fees, while the college fees is paid by only the hostellers. I pay ?46000 as hostel fees every semester (twice a year) and institute fees of ?26000 every year. Some students are exempted to pay the tution fees while they need to pay the other fees, the tution fees is ?100000 for every year. We can apply only to one government scholarship, and we can also apply for other private scholarships, a scholarship named RECAL is provided by the college itself for the students, it is a merit based scholarship.

Campus Life

5

The college life over here is really good and students will be always busy in doing what they love most of the time, they will be engaged in technical or non technical clubs in the campus and grow their skills. Their are 3 main fests, Pragyan, Festember and Nittfest, these are the most unforgettable and memorable days in college life.

Hostel Facilities

4

In the first year we will be given with a room were 3 people need to stay and in the second year onwards we will get our room were 2 people need to stay, and the facilities are not that bad and not that good. Mess food is good, but don't compare it with the home food.

Admission

I chose this college over others because NIT is a tag and it has a great alumni network and using thatwe can land up in a good place. Through Tamilnadu counselling I got Anna University CEG, so I need to choose CEG or NIT, I chose NIT Trichy.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is not that bad, their are people how can teach us any time, like research scholars, the interaction between faculty and students is good. Mostly their will be an endsem exam at the end of each semester and before that we will be writing two cycle tests, it depends on the professors. We can get a good CGPA of we read properly and concentrate on class properly.

Interview Experience

4

No I had no interviewbut we need to write an entrance examination called as JEE Joint Entrance Examination it will happen in two sessions in a year, we need to get a good percentile in atleast one session and then apply for jossa counselling.

Night Life

5

Their are night canteens near every hostel, and if it is not their in some hostel we can place an order to get our snacks. When it comes to the hostel timings, they are strict for girls and a bit lenient for boys.
