Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus at du is one of the latest and NEP is followed. If you really have interest in subject, you can enjoy your graduation. Course like SEC, VAC and GE adds to your skills. But the faculty training for the latest system is not up to the mark. Semester exam are twice every year and they are not that difficult.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is available but mostly for commerce and management background students. VCIS internship scheme is available but for that you need a above 9 CGPA. you can apply for off campus internship like NITI aayog internship or through LinkedIn or internshala.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell in every college that helps you get various internship and placement. Placement rate is low and most of them are for commerce and management students. You can work on your skills and get a off campus placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly course fee was 25000 in first year which increased to 26320 in 3rd year. We have to pay additional exam fee of around 1500 every semester which vary depending on the course. Scholarships are just for namesake. They just make you fill forms for various fee concession but the concession amount is never credited in your account. If you come from any other state you have to take a pg because hostel is not available. Pg costs around 8k per month.
Campus Life
There are various societies you can apply for. NCC and NSS are also there in almost every college. Annual fest is held during Jan Feb every year. Like Josh is held in RC. Library is pretty well maintained and you get many books there. Sports facility is not very good.
Admission
For addmission in du colleges you must appear in cuet exam. After clearing the exam you must fill you preference list for various courses and colleges. I choose RC because of its latest infrastructure and new lab facilities.
Faculty
Faculty is very nice and supportive. They will be very approachable and always guide you towards your future goals. Faculty to students ratio is around 1:10. Almost all faculty members are great but some will pressurize you for assignment and internal marks.
Night Life
Hostel facility is not available in RC. So if you come from other state you have to take a pg or flat. There are numerous gyms and food spots available nearby the college area. There are is not pretty safe after midnight.
