Likes
- The culture of the college and it has a vast number of societies you can choose from like DRAMSOC(drama), DANSOC( dance), Prakriti, Music,etc. interviews are taken and people feel welcomed and everyone is very kind and warm they make you feel welcome
- It is an all girls college which is very comfortable
- It is in a good locality near moolchand, and teachers are very accessible.
Dislikes
- The societies may have a variety of options but they are not inclusive. And priorities are guven to the friends of prominent members of the societies.
- You can clearly see the gap between poor and rich.
- Some professors act like school teachers
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I've always been intersed in this. The teaching method chloukd me more lenient they focus more on presentations, class tests and research papers. After NEP the burden has increased
Internships Opportunities
Many internships opportunities are given you can also take summer internships I do not real the names of the companies specifically but paid internships are also an option they are known as dream internahips.
Placement Experience
From the third year student became eligible for the placement some of the companies are Uniliver, gartner, amazon, trinity,etc . The highest package was 44LPA and the average package is 10.5 LPA. I don't have any plans after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Different aids are available for ews, pwd, financially backward people which can start fron 40000, the hostel is only available for 1st year Students but it is currently under rejuvenation, I pay around 18000 for history course and around 1100 for examination fees.
Campus Life
Overall I didn't indulge in any activities or societies. But I made fruends and enjoyed a little gave presentations and lived a very minimal college life. NSO ,NCC or NSS is necessary to complete. NSS is much better.
Hostel Facilities
The first day we have to come early to reguster we were given hostel id and fathers weren't allowed inside , there were 3 sharing rooms as well as dual and single and 3 meals and evening snacks were provided and the food was decent we got items such as omlette,sprouts, rice,aloo bhujia,etc.
Admission
I applied to DU, BHU and various colleges whithin DU but I got selected for this and it was a top college so I went for it. You have to give CUET for thus exam and the cutoff is around 750 for general and 650 for sc(approx).
Faculty
Faculties are easily approachable, you can contact a professor through your Class Representative or CR and you can also meet you teacher in the college for any query. There are total 8 papers 4 core and SEC,AEC,VAC,GE 4 core and GE holds 4 credits. Exam is not so difficult you just need to focus on the readings suggested by prof.
Interview Experience
There are many GD's as part of class activities or tut activity for which you are given topics beforehand and then you're asked to divide yourselves into groups or individually and then you're made to put your point.
Night Life
Our favourite spot was the nescafe and it's maggie , on the balcony , I lived in the hostel and there wasn't much niht life but we didn't have to take parent's permission for a nught out we just had to fill our outpass which was pretty convenient.
