Remarks

well everything has its positive and negative side. According to me the positive side of my college is that i got chance to meet new people and got to explore a new city and i really want my college life back. Where as the negative side of my college would be the placements and some faculties and of course chennai's climate.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In my opinion Course curriculum in Srm is pretty good. If you have a good rank during counselling then you can choose the course of your choice but if you do not have a good rank then you have to compromise with left over courses, SRM provides various courses like Btech, B.com, Doctor degree and many others. Students from abroad also come and study. Srm also have SAP program where a student can go abroad and study one semester.

Internships Opportunities

NO, Srm does not provide any internship to students. Though students can join internship or implant training during their summer break or winter break. However, in the last semester of the program students can do 6 months internship along with the project.

Placement Experience

4

I will be honest with you. As they say that they give 100% placement which is completely not true. Just to attract students SRM says that they provide good placement. I am not saying they do not provide placements at all. They do provide. Companies like TCS, INFOSYS, CTS, etc come and recruit students in bulk. many other dream companies also comes and recruit.

College Events

5

well there are various symposiums, events, cultural programs, annual program. So the main two events celebrated in SRM university are Milan and aarush. These two events happens in main campus and consist of various sub programs like dancing, singing, fashion show, dj night. Also include various food stalls. Srm also invites Actors as chief guest. Last time they invited John Abraham, Aditya Roy kapoor, Kenny sebastian.

Fee Structure And Facilities

So I guess fee structure of SRM is not much expensive. For Btech the fee is 1 lakhs 80 thousand for one year. But during college, they do ask for money like for some events and all even if you are not participating.

Fees and Financial Aid

Srm do provide loan and scholarship. Scholarship in Srm is given according to studies and sports. If a student have cgpa above 9.6 then the college provide the scholarship of some amount. Other scholarship is based on sports there is one sports quota where a student can get scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Srm has many extracurricular activities. Students can play various sports like football, badminton, table tennis and many other. college also take students for tournaments. Speaking of labs, College has many labs like for electronics, computer, mechanical, robotics labs. and the equipments in the lab are also fine.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

When i was in college the hostel was not good so i came out of the hostel in 3rd year. But now they have upgraded the hostel. They installed ACs in the hostel and they also opened canteen inside the hostel where the food is really good and price is reasonable. But they have hostel timings for girls like all the girls should come inside before 7 pm.

Alumni/Alumna

Well Senior students post their views on the srm site and they tell about the college, courses, campus, facilities. Well some comments are really helpful where they tell the truth about the university but some students post comments for fun and the comments can be disturbing.

Exam Structure

I do not know about other programs but i can tell you about Btech exam structure. so in one semester there are four exams conducted by the department. there are two unit test of 50 marks and one model exam which is of 100 marks and then semester exams of 100 marks. There are practical exams as well for model and semester exams. And first three exams are use to calculate internals.

Admission

So first I wrote SRM entrance exam, which is usually held in April. This exam is consist of quants and verbal of 12 standard.Trust me this exam is pretty easy. Then they take approximately 15 to 20 days to evaluate the exam and based on your performance they provide you with your ranks. According to ranks you will be called for the counselling and you can choose the campus of your choice and can also decide your department. But if your rank is low then you will not be able to choose the campus of your choice.

Faculty

3.5

To be honest most of the faculty in my campus were not as good as they should be. They did not know to explain about the subjects. Teachers were given the subjects out of their specialization. However, some were really good and helpful.

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It provides a good foundation for technical knowledge, but including more industry-oriented projects, hands-on training, and updated technologies would make it even better for future career opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Studying Master of commerce is okay. The same thing and few same subjects which I studied in undergraduate. Classes are good and we are also having some gaps. Not a big difference and 1 or 2 subjects are new for us. I want to suggest that to give holiday after the semester exams. But not before that. It is quite difficult for us to study. It will be easy for us to ask doubts.
