Remarks

The Management is not so good. But overall the college is good if you are searching for a well known college degree in cheap fees. If you are a meritorious student, you can make your way. If not, i would say -- " Spoon-Feeding" would never help you.I didn

Entrance Preview

I qualified AIEEE exam. Also, you need to pass Annamalai University Entrance Examination in order to get admission. I am basically from North India. To get good placement i moved to the South, as i heard of good placement in IT Industry. The college fee is less as compared to other college. also, it is one of the Oldest Indian and well known University.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My Branch was Computer Science. The Curriculum is good. And you need to prepare lot of lab records and get minimum of 80% attendance for appearing in Semester Exams.Internal consists of 40 Marks, and External exam 0f 60 Marks.

Internships Opportunities

Very Less companies came at the time when i passed out (year 2012), as it was heavily affected by Recession. But some small companies from Chennai came, like HCL. And about 30% of candidates were place here and there, in different companies.

Placement Experience

2

The Campus was not too good. Only Brilliant students got places (Who Secured Distinction). Also, there was very less placement in 2012, due to recession.HCL Offered around 3.2lacs for Chennai Job Location

College Events

3.5

It is a big College, and Semi-Government University. Its expense are managed also by the Tamil Nadu Government. Hence fees is less. They manage many Cultural events, like singing, Dancing etc.You can show your talent in Various fields.Sports Tournament like Football, Cricket goes on.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was around 29000 per year in 2008-2012. Now it is comparitively increased to around 50k per year, but although it is too cheap if you compare to other colleges.Cost of living is also not more there. College is around 6 hours journey from Chennai Central.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides scholarship for meritorious students.Score good marks, and you may get scholarship.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel Food is too Bad. North Indian food(like Roti etc ) u won't get.Or Luckily if you get it would not be eatable.Around 2000/= it will come for Food etc.. depends how much you eat.It will be billed monthly.Hostel will be available for 1st and 2nd year.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. Also, teaches, alumni are co-operative if they find you are serious for studies. Getting teachers attention is very easy. They are good people, but u must not mess with them., or u will mess up your internals.

Exam Structure

"Write More, Get More"That is one of the techniques i was able to find in exam. Labs Exams are too strict, You need to get the minimum passing, otherwise you will be logged with Arrear. NO MERCY in these.NO MONEY would help.

Faculty

3

Faculty is NOT so good. Some of them don't even know how to speak proper English. If you are studying here, you must be ready to study by yourself. And forget spoon-feeding (It won't help anywhere)

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
