Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is of my interest and i really like to study Poltical science a lot and it really helped me and also it is going to help me in future during exam preps and it is very relevant to me because I liked political science from my school time . The theories in the syllabus really taught us how the real world works . I don't think so there is something to improve . If we talk about exams there is a 3 hour time and my course is basically theory only so yeah sometimes 3hrs ain't enough to complete it .

Internships Opportunities

1

The internships basically here are very average and please avoid them , and they pay very average so it's good to avoid internships here , and it pays around 5 to 6k and there are no placements here .

Fees and Financial Aid

Basically the fees this year was around 16k and it was lesser the previous year and this is the annual fees and I really don't know about the fees compositon , and the other batchmates also pay the same fees like us , and yes there is a financial aid in our college for students whose family earn less than 8 lakhs of income ,.

Campus Life

3

So basically we have thunderstruck which is the annual fest of our college , the best part of our college I say , and yes there are societies who organise there own fests which involves great speakers , and it teaches us a lot for.skills like leadership , teamwork , coordination , cooperation, management . There are a lot of books available in our library which helps the students. So basically there is football , athletics , cricket , badminton , handball , table tennis and volleyball in our college , and also there are practice session in college for there sports activities before the inter college tournament .

Admission

I applied in bahuguna nandan gharwal university, uttarakhand , but I really wanted to go in Delhi University because of its exposure and importance , i don't regret even a single thing here , it everyday teaches us new and i really love my college . No i didn't get a rejection from other college , I got admission in others but I really wanted to go in Delhi University. Basically you have to prepare for the cuet UG exam to get admission in Delhi University and the exam details and eligibility is mentioned .

Faculty

4

So basically faculty here is really really cooperative and friendly in my course and they really teach us well and help us a lot in many things . The professor to student ratio is around 1:60 to 70 approx , and they are really cooperative , for ex - Suman sir . The marking scheme is according to the new education policy . I don't dislike any of the professor . So talking about exams basically for 2 yrs there are a total of 7 paper and the difficulty vairews btw easy and mediocre in my course .

Night Life

3

There a open gym in the college , and the reading room closes at 8 in the evening , students can study there till 8 and the college closes nearly at 5.to 6 . There is no such hostel for our college . College starts at 8 in the morning and closes at i in the evening , entry is not allowed after 5 pm. There is rajouri garden where you can go and enjoy and also there is vishal cinema to watch movies with your friends and also there is McDonald's just below the cinema so yeah you can enjoy , but at night I say it's safe to roam but not alone

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
