Likes
- Our college has a seperate library building and a seperate auditorium building so in short nothing is congested in our campus.
- We have nearly 100+ societies in our college and all are active as well.
- Besides one beautiful and large canteen, we also have a small cafeteria and we can easily have our own home made lunch boxes there instead of having to buy from that cafeteria.
Dislikes
- Our college is close Kamala Nehru College and since it's more like a commercial hub, we have to bear noise all day long.
Course Curriculum Overview
BA to me is a very underrated program and therefore not many students chose. However, having a one special elective than studying the entire program, I felt the first one to be better. From economics to geo politics, we have almost everything covered in our syllabus and hence I don't see any changes to be done.
Internships Opportunities
Many Youtubers Like Abhi & Niyu and others who are into content creation are the ones who offered internships. From social causes to geopolitical issues we have got internships in many such domains and that too with a handy stipend.
Placement Experience
Many content creating companies and FMCG companies like HUL, Indian Tobacco Company are offering placements to BA students of GARGI College as the kind of value that we bring in is more than students of other streams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees that I paid for BA programme is 19000 and only in the first year that we had to pay around 2600 as other charges. EWS to SC/ST scholarships are available and nearly 40% of the students in my class are using those scholarships and pay a very slim to none in fees.
Campus Life
A campus that has red bricks 4-5 buildings and also the college that has separated the concept of having everything in one block is ours. Our annual fest is Reverie and all girls of our college are praised by every college students of DU and therefore most college students even see our fest with eyes on how we perform and how can they better us.
Admission
A cut off of 608 to 770 in CUET is required for getting admission in Gargi College depending upon the category like SC/ST, OBC or General. Once you are into that zone that admissions are quite smooth as everything can be done online and you can directly go to the college when it starts.
Faculty
Most faculties of our college are also ladies and thus it gives us a sense of security. Also, their teaching is not normal as apart from books giving us knowledge on world and other things is also one of their forte and I am so happy with the kind of treatment that is provided to us by them. Mrs Anita Rani, is my favourite among all as she has done wonders in her teaching career.
Night Life
Our college is close to Green Park Metro Station and Kamal Nehru College is also quite close to our college. The top cafe close to our college is Diggin Cafe and very close it our campus is a mall named Ansal Plaza and from Dominos to KFC, we have everything over there.
