KNOW ABOUT DCAC

The course is really very good. The domains are very relevant however, the extra subjects that we are forced to study like sec, vac, aec, etc are very irrelevant and a waste of time. It would be better if the course is focusd on the main domains only for economic honours students as the course itself is very tough and these add ons gives a lot of pressure.

A good amount of internships are offered. 99% of them are unpaid though. Mostly Performance based stipend is offered. No specific internship is offered to Economics students. I myself mistly apply to the internships under commerce field.

The placements as far as i know are not great. The college on an average offers 3-4 lakh per annum that too mainly to commerce students not the arts ones. The placements are largely for the commerce fields which is very heartbreaking. After completing the course i would be applying on jobs by myself through various job searching apps.

In the first year i paid 10,900 (approx) and in the second year i paid 10,500 (approx). There is no scholarship. No the fees is not increasing. Apart from yearly fees I've paid examination fees 4 times for 4 semesters each rounding upto 1400.

Campus life at DCAC is nothing. There are no social aspects, Clubs are okay but dont give equal opportunities to everyone. Certificates aren't even a sure things. The infrastructure is VERY POOR. There is no campus space in the college.

I mainly applied in 2 universities. I chose DU over DTU for obvious reasons. I chose DCAC because the review at the time of my admission was very good but however i've realised it over time that ARSD is much better than DCAC in terms of infrastructure, fests and everything. I couldn't make it to the north campus because of the normalisation process ar my time under Cuet.

I am a student of Economics honours. The faculty of this course is very regular however it is not very easy to understand there teachings. A seperate tuition is must for most of the main domain subjects. The course structure mainly involves Microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, Econometrics, Maths. These are the suject that we study in different semesters. internals are conducted but the marking scheme is too strict and hardly any mark is given in the internals.

Well around my college campus there is commercial area. Mainly Defence offices and so on. Therefore there isnt really a nightlife around the college. But going a little far from campus a good night life space can be found.
