Likes
- I like how supportive our professors are. They really motivate us to do different activities not only studies but also extra curricular activities, they provide us with lot of research words.
- I also like the environment of my College, the infrastructure. There is this location cafeteria, surrounded by greenery. We do have lots of plants as well all are of different species.
- Ratio of boys and girls are not much differ. Like in my class, I witnessed like it's approx same only, even girls ratio is slightly larger than the boys.
Dislikes
- Our canteen food is not that great to be honest. We gold them so many times but ya quality of food is poor.
- As the students are mainly from haryana sometimes they make the surrounding bad.
- I want my college to be very great in infrastructure though it is , but still I want them to build new buildings as well

As I am in Zoology department we work on research related things. Science do not deal with placement, but ya we do have Placement cell society which offers really good placements to other courses students from different different companies and well known companies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Deshbandhu college, affiliated with the University of Delhi, offers variety of bachelor's degree and postgraduate programs. Annual fee for my course is approx 20000. Like in first it was 20000, then in second year it came to 19000 and same for third year also. This is for Zoology by the way. Deshbandhu college is mainly known for it's Zoology department.

Talking about my overall experience, I kinda love the atmosphere of Deshbandhu. While talking about my department, we do have great labs, to enjoy our work , faculty always supports us. There are also many societies for your personality development.
Admission
I chose deshbandhu college because of its strong Zoology department, well equipped labs, experienced faculty and active society like Chimera. While I applied for other colleges as well but DBC stood up because of its affordable fees and great infrastructure.
Faculty
The Zoology Department of Deshbandhu College has experienced faculty specializing in various fields like genetics, ecology, and physiology. They actively mentor students, guide research projects, and organize academic events through Chimera (Zoology Society). Course & Exam Structure: B.Sc. (Hons.) Zoology follows the CBCS system with core subjects, electives, and skill-based courses. Evaluation: Internal Assessment (25 Marks) – Tests, assignments, attendance. Theory Exam (75 Marks) – University-conducted semester exams. Practical Exams (50 Marks) – Experiments, viva, and records. The department offers research opportunities, fieldwork, and lab-based learning, preparing students for higher studies and careers in biotech, conservation, and academia.
Night Life
Deshbandhu College itself doesn’t have a campus nightlife, but nearby places offer great options. Epicuria (Nehru Place) has cafes and lounges like Social & Lord of the Drinks. CR Park Market is great for budget-friendly street food, while Greater Kailash (GK) has upscale cafes and clubs. Students often hang out in Saket, Hauz Khas, and Connaught Place for nightlife.
