Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose English honours specially in Delhi University it is the elite course to do and his course gave us a very different prospective of seeing the world. English literature is basically helps us to understand the basic of humanity it helps to it helps to diverse are Minds in different criterias .It gives a plenty of job opportunities like content writing ,HR management, journalism and author etc this is the course that helps in real life other courses do not have that much effect but this course helps to understand different perspective of men ,women and all the genders, issues in the society is problems faced by people rich people, common people and and poor people this is the course that talk about everything from environment to the human society to nature, economics to the political scenario history etc everything can come under this course. One thing that I would like to change in teaching criteria as that the teacher should work on the communication skills and the prospective of the children's because English all about the language. language is the medium of conversation and a teacher should improve the medium by making the children thoughtful in the prespective, able to show their prespective through the communication skill ignite their minds

Internships Opportunities

2

I am first year student I did not have any idea about the internship in but a college offers many small internships that offered 15000 18000 for month and job opportunities are there but you have to Grab with your own skills

Fees and Financial Aid

For 1st year the fees is about 14000/- rupees. And the fee structure is same for all categories Scholarship is provided by the college after filling the form that is released by them for the students who can't afford to pay

Campus Life

4

My whole campus life is very happening and enjoy able the college focus on the society's clubs ecetra we have different societies for the art and painting ,photograph ,dancing ,Dramas, fashion and debate in English, Hindi both languages . These societies perform in different colleges Inter College competitions are going happening all the way different states we go on for the competition competition we have different societies for the games like chess ,volleyball, basketball, cricket etc we also have two libraries libraries in that library we have separate reading Areas where you can go and read and learn and a Wi-Fi is available book so you can you can go and brought any books for just you need the membership for that library that is for the free of cost. the technology like a cameras are installed everywhere in the in the college campus campus and campus is safe. Extreacurricular activities and sports are offered in the campus as I have already told we have different social groups also that helps the needy persons that helps to donate for example books clothes etc to the needy. We have competition going on every day to which we can upgrade our skills and make new friends and that helps in increasing a communication skills that helps for the future

Admission

I actually only applied for the Delhi University and I got the college but not the top of the universities but one of the good University that is Dayal Singh Evening College firstly it is near from my home and I got the course that I wanted so I selected this college firstly the admission process for this college is to first clear the 12th board exam and then fill the form of CUET entrance exam and clear your exam .after that Delhi University release the form for of the admission admission you have to fill this form and after that Delhi University will select you according to your marks cut up for the Delhi University is above 500 marks for the general category and 300 above for the OBC and 200 about for the SC ST category

Faculty

5

Faculty members of the college is very helpful they helps students a lot each and every teacher except some helps it students to develop skills . they give projects and assignment related to that so that we can improve our skills like leadership quality team management and communication skills etc. In my class I have approx nineto twelve teachers of different subjects according to them. every teacher works very differently in their own manner to make the doubts of student clear . As I am doing bachelors in bachelor of arts and English they all speaks in English and helps to understand the world from literary point of view. Actually I don't have any teacher who does not teach well at all the teachers that I got in my college is very good in their own teaching style. In one year we have to give to exam 1st exam is don't as the mid sem exam in the other one is for the final through which we goes to the from the first year to the second year the I have given the mid sem exams exam for pretty good not too much hard not too much easy easy and the results are not come yet so I don't know how many people are have passed a fail .

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
