Course Curriculum Overview
I think my course is really relevant for further academic pursual. It touches every major aspect making things easier for pursuing masters or phd. Even the four year degree has improved benefit for the students. But NEP has reduced the time teachers spend in teaching as they involve more in tests and assignments making the classes less insightful.
Placement Experience
For political science there are no in campus placement offers, so people mostly pursue government exams or go for higher studies by appearing in CUET PG, or maybe trying abroad. Many students switch their profession and entre business or law.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees is around 25k annually, which has temained constant more or less. Apart from fees the other compulsory charge is the examination fees which has to be paid every semester and is around 1200/- Rs. There are ofcourse college scholarships present but the scholarship I am aware of is the Raj Bhargava Scholarship which provide scholarship to 4 students from history department and 2 from sociology/political science/ economics/ philosophy. They award a yearly cash amount of around 75000 along with a laptop for each student.
Campus Life
In the even semesters, there are department fests and college fest which are attended by students across Delhi University making it really fun. Campus life here is really good and fun. There are also inter college sports and cultural events which are really good.
Admission
I applied to other colleges in Delhi University itself andin BHU apart from that but as i scored really good marks in CUET which helped me secure a seat in Hindu College and i chose to go to this college because of its really esteemed faculty and me school teachers opinion. The admission into my college is simple only requiring to score adequate marks in CUET.
Faculty
I think the number of professors can be increased. The faculty of our department are quite approachable and supportive. My favourite is my professor for political theory, his expertise is really commendable. But there sure are some expections whose contribution í feel is not up to the mark. There are only sem end examinations apart from the class tests in every subject. The difficulty is moderate and most of them pass without any problem.
Night Life
My college is not very big and does not include things like gym, and because my college hostel capacity is very less, i had to stay in a pg so campus nightlife is not something that i experienced. Hostel night entry is 10.30 max. But the locality arround college is really nice, because colleges of north campus are all nearby making it a nice university experience and various market areas are in the vicinity.
Other Applied Colleges
Banaras Hindu University - [BHU] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (History)
I got into my first priority
