Course Curriculum Overview

4

Robotics and Automation can be quite challenging and interesting course. It has parts of Computer Science, Electronics and Communication and Mechatronics. In RRCE we are involved in the influence of robots in modern industrialization and giving an insight learning about them. The curriculum is vast but very organized. The Teachers teach us with life examples and the importance of that very subject.

Internships Opportunities

4

Companies like FANUC, Robospace provide internship and training for our department. The mass recruiter were FANUC. We create project if line following bots for parts delivery. The project uses IR sensors along with proximity to prevent obstacles.

Placement Experience

4

This is the first time Robotics and automation are getting placed as the first batch of 2021-25 will be participating. In the placements, total of 6 students out of 18 got placed for 7lpa. The others students are still looking out for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for students who took admission by CET is ?126805 every year. For the 4 year course it would be a total of ?507000. For management students, for Robotics and automation it can range from ?60000-?85000. For CET students, they have eligibility to get SSP Scholarship. The Scholarship amount for general students is ?20000 per year(it can vary over their academic background). SC/ST students get ?82000. The fee payment can be completed in different phases and if passed the due day, you will have to face some consequences.

Campus Life

4

In a year 3-4 college fests happen in campus. Outside of that, different occasional events takes place. The Karnataka Rajyaotsava is the grandes fest of them all. The whole campus celebrates it together. The library of RRCE is efficient and spacious. It consists of more than 20000 books. The annual branch sports tournament takes place in every even semester as games such as Cricket, Basketball, Vollyball, Kabaddi and more takes place. The college also takes part in university level, state level tournaments. There are many clubs in the campus which conducts their meetings every Saturday. Organizations such as NCC, NSS and Rotary also exist in the campus.

Admission

Well, Robotics and automation has not been quite influential in current times but it has started it's trend in Indian Industries. Meanwhile in my opinion, RRCE has the best opportunity for you if you opt for RA. They provide you with internships amd job opportunities. An industrial visit happens every semester to give practical learning experience. The eligibility for taking admission in Robotics and automation in RajaRajeswari college of Engineering is PUC, +2 in recognized boards. You can opt for it by KCET, COMEDK or Management quota.

Faculty

5

The faculty of Robotics and automation are one of the best thing about the branch. They are friendly and supportive. You can check through any query with them. They have good way of conduct during lectures. They interact with student's organization to learn about the issues they are facing.

Interview Experience

4

There was a written test taken to see the core strenght of the individual. The anatomy of Robots was omost frequent one. In group discussion, FANUC gave a task to configure movement of robotic arm in a Cartesian coordinate system. For preparation go through the notes of core robotics subjects and improve communication skills.

Night Life

3

There are restrictions for students after 8 pm. The facilities such as gym, Cafeteria and grounds are closed off. Library is closed around 6pm. The curfew starts after 8pm and students are not allowed to roam until they've got permit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
