Remarks

I applied in DU only. The score of cuet is the primary criteria for college selection alongwith some weightage given to boards marks as well. I had applied to LSR as well but MH was my first preference.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Employability scope, placements, internship opportunities, and depth of the course influenced by decision to take it. The curriculum helps you in further academic pursuits and you see the application in everyday life making it more interesting. However, too rigorous mathematics makes it difficult. The frequency of tests can be shortened so that students can focus more on depth instead of just preparing for exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

I didn't do many internships from college. But there are many societies with offer internship opportunities to students, both paid and unpaid. The kind of roles offered are varied according to your interests.

Placement Experience

4

From 3rd year onwards, students can apply for placements. There is a placement cell in the college too which helps students for internship and placement opportunities. On an average, placements are 10lpa and highest ones crossing 90lpa as well. Companies like bcg, kpmg, etc have visited the campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annual Fee: 16,060 College Fee: ?6,338 Student Fund Fee: ?9,722 This amount stays the same for all three years. Category Notes: SC/ST students with non-income-tax-paying parents receive a small tuition waiver (186). Other categories-General, OBC-NCL, EWS-pay the full 16,060 unless aided by scholarships. Scholarships: Dr. Satya M. Rai Scholarship for strong academic merit. Need-cum-Merit Assistance for students requiring financial support. Various college-endowed merit awards for top performers.

Campus Life

3

Most of the fests, including the annual college fest are held around feb-mar. All the departments and societies have their own fests. Infrastructure can be improved, like indoor gym can be opened and sporting facilities can be improved more. Apart from that, teaching infra is great.

Hostel Facilities

4

Room is quite spacious and well furnished. Most of them are 2 seaters with some 4 seaters too. Laundry service is available at free of cost each week. We get 4 meals each day. The quality is okayish, i mean nothing replaces home food. But it is quite affordable and nice nevertheless. The environment is cozy overall. To register for the hostel, just fill out the application form from college website.

Faculty

4

The ratio is quite well. If the student engages, the professors pays quite well attention to the whole class. With some teachers, there is well one on one connection too. However there are some exceptions to it. But in general, they are quite approachable. There are 2-3 IAs and 3-4 CAs.apart from some assignments. Not many students fail. The curriculum is good except for the NEP changes(those extra burden subjects)

Night Life

5

Staying out in North campus is quite fun. There is no curfew in hostel. Plenty of places to go out and chill. College remains open till 7pm along with library. Hudson lane has many cafes which are popular among students. But I think that I plain walk around the campus is quite fun too. :)

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
