Course Curriculum Overview

My course philosophy hons is best for me . Philosophy is a subject which develops critical thinking that is extremely important in today's world. In today's world where in every field propaganda matters , matters how u can influence others for that even u have to run propaganda it considered good but as an individual it's your responsibility to have a thinking which is your own .

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 33100 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am not aware of it because I am in first year I will be able to know about it more early I will try to know about it , attending lectures, seminars related to it . As much i have heard it is outstanding.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am shivangi yadav currently pursuing ba philosophy hons from drc du . The fees structure as much i know is 33100 yearly for ba philosophy hons in drc , it's huge for me and my family paying this but they are doing for my dream of studying they want me to get best education and have best life . Till now I have no that much idea of getting scholarship how but in future I will definitely as much i know is I can get scholarship on the basis of my merit so I will definitely work hard for it. Thankyou.

Campus Life

My overall experience is good can't say best because of mine nature also I will considered because I am an introvert girl also sensitive so for me interaction is big challenge even now I am dealing also along with intellectual, competitive environment too but sometimes competition make social interaction toxic .

Admission

I won't lie i got this college in first round also I didn't had much expectations of me getting in even this college because of my average marks in cuet . Also i didn't know about universities zero idea .

Faculty

I am blessed to have such faculty which is very supportive, no words for their humble and encouraging nature . I am currently in my sem 1 so it's also my first time to go through this process but till now I have given midsems my ca ia related tests , viva and ya attendance most importantly.

Night Life

I don't know about it because my classes end by 5 pm in evening on those days when it have evening classess so i hadn't experience my college night life . I wish to explore and I hope in future I will be able to .

Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure is not that good, college is a non dusu affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

M.A. POLITICAL SCIENCE IN DRC

I applied to jnu, du, pondicherry university, university of Hyderabad and bhu. I got in all of them except jnu. After jnu , i found du to be other great option for pursuing masters . There are multiple colleges in du itself and I got drc according to my preference and cutoff. I put drc on fifth preference and its a good choice considering its ranking and overall prestige. We have to give cuet pg exam , then apply to colleges we want to get in and then according to our marks ,preference list and cut-offs, colleges are allotted to us....Read More

college life

To be honest I only applied for Delhi University through CUET and I selected many colleges from DU like Miranda, Hansraj, Lady Shri Ram, Kirori Mal, many from the south and off campuses and in the first phase I got this college DRC and this course BA Programme English and History and I thought that this was an interesting course so that's why I chose this subject and college but if I could have upgraded my choices there was a chance that I could get seleced in other college but I chose to go with this option and some of my friends also got that college. I did not applieed for any other university/college except DU. To get to DRC college we have to attempt the CUET entrance exam from which we can get admission here by filling this college in your preference. For general category the cutoffs get so high for specifically north campus colleges, But as I belong to ST so that way it was a bit easier to get admission....Read More
