What Students Say

Likes

The campus is very good.. Neat and clean
The wall of fame adds to the beauty of the college

Dislikes

The faculty overall good, isn't exceptional
The classrooms could be more modern replacing the old ones
The management is a bit strict now allowing for various fun events in the college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course ba eco hons is a wonderful course.. With exceptional placements and good faculty, ppl like shah rukh khan has done this course from the hansraj College.. The comprehensiveness is also good with practical applicability adding to its value

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 32000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are exceptional.. With eco hons consistently offering the highest placements over dozens of course offered by the college for more than 5 years.. The highest package revolves around 30 lpa and is increasing every year , with companies like delloite, pwc , bain offering on campus placements

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees mainly has tuition fees of around 17,000 .. there're several other charges including canteen fees, hostel fees etc etc ...the exact can't be determined ..the affordabilitu is overall good ...

Campus Life

There are many clubs varying in almost every field.. The exposure you gain here is unmatched.. The social environment is also good with the college surrounded by many other good colleges like srcc, Hindu , Stephen's etc

Admission

Hansraj College is one of the most prestigious college of not only the Delhi University but the whole country.. Other colleges like Hindu etc lack in the comprehensiveness that hansraj provides in terms of eco hons

Faculty

The faculty is good overall but not exceptional.. They're helpful at times but even irritate for the attendance many times..it's very annoying.. The worst part is that classes get cancelled very often

Night Life

I haven't experienced the night life as of now as I'm a day scholar.. although as heard from the friends the night life is also good with the college library providing a peaceful envt uptill 8 in the night and college has beautiful lighting too

Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Overall best

Likes

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure is not that good, college is a non dusu affiliated

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

The whole undergraduate admission process of DU is through CUET, except a few exceptions like Law and Enginnering. The Electronics course require Physics, Chemistry and Maths from CUET, 250 marks each and one must obtain 500+/750 to get this course. Reservation benefits are also available. This was my third preference in the preference list after B.Tech (IT&MI) at CIC and CS Hons at Hansraj, which I could not get due to cutoff difference....Read More

Talks with reality

Hansraj college is one of the best colleges under University of Delhi. I have applied for almost every college which offered my course but my dream college was Hansraj for always. In the first round of counselling session, I got ramjas which was my 5th preference according to my list but I upgraded for the second round and then I got hansraj, my dream college. I chose this because the very first reason was its infrastructure, its academic excellence and our most loved shakrukh khan who also studied from here. I didn't get rejected from any college for my course but the other courses for that I have applied for, maths honours, I didn't get the seat in top colleges due to my low score for that course. CUET is the only and most preferred exam according to which admission is allocated to every individual. Cutoffs depends for every other courses and for the admission, the very first step is you must need to appear in CUET exam with proper subject combination according to ur preferred course. Then after result declaration, you need to prepare preference list of your preferred courses and colleges then according to your score, college is allocated to you then you have to accept the seat allocation and need to make the fee payment. Admission process is complete after the document verification at last....Read More
