Our classes commences from 9 in the morning and ends at 4p.m. We have 6 classes daily. If we have to talk about activities we are always engaged with many activities like poster presentation, debates, quiz etc our class tests of each subject will be after every module completion and we will be having three internal assessment before external examination and assignments will be given on regular basis.

I had written COMED-K examination in which my rank was about 16742 i had attended the first round of counselling in which i had to choose college name and branch in the form there were three columns containing college name and branches respectively, so i chose acharya institute of technology as my first priority and in this college i chose electronics and communication.

Till now I have had the experience in this college. Gender ratio is 3:2 and students are from cast and communities. Although being a Gujarati minority college it is not empowered by the Gujaratis. Students from all economy class can be seen in this college but there is no diversification based on economic status. The labs are well furnished,spacious and always up to date with latest equipments. There are many committees conducting various types of competition like quizzes like Harry potter quiz etc., debates, e-cell lectures for budding entrepreneurs and football competitions. The e-cell lectures were not only good for those who want to be entrepreneur but for every student.

Trinity is the fest that is celebrated by Dwarjadas J. Sanghavi College and is one of the best technical fest of the colleges that comes under Mumbai University. Students from various colleges comes to attend and take part in the evsnts. The fest is organised and managed mainly by students of the college. Members of different committees of the college organize competitions and events in this fests and prize is also given to the winner of the event. It becomes possible to organise such fests because of the active participation of students and faculty.

Placements is very poor in our school, the reason behind this is poor management of corporate relationship by the placement team. The recruitment head acted more like a broker, if somebody would get placed he would ask for costly liquor. There was a company named Orchid Pharma which was to come for placements, which was offering a good package and good profile. The company did not turn up and there was no justification on the reason. I was aiming for that company which would fetch me Rs 6 lakh per annum. However i had to get placed on my own and i started at a salary of Rs 1.8 lakh per annum.

We used to have annual day, CSR meets , Industrial Forums, Almuni meet,Graduation Day and Farewells. The college used to spend a lot on making the events very lucrative. In classroom you will never feel you are in old govt college with same old boring teaching methodology. Faculties are highly qualified and very much interactive. They always observe discipline in their conduct and impart the same to the atmosphere of classroom and campus. They encourage student to be innovative in their field. Research is main focus for faculties and some of them have published hundreds of international papers. Institute also provide consultancy service which help faculty to have on field real time problems exposure and can provide their expertise to mega projects.

Exam structure is quite hectic. You will have at least one set of exam every month, with two minors, mid exam and Finals in span of 4 month of semester. Minors consist of 10% each. with 30% marks for mid exam and 50% for finals. Its a deemed university so your faculty will only prepare your exam paper, decides dates for minors and you can see your evaluated answer sheet providing transparent system for examination. It has grading system, so your CGPA/SGPA will depend on relative performane with normal distribution.

Our cultural society was very strong and very active. We had various societies like Drama Society , Music Societies, Fashion Societies, Dance societies, sports societies and Individual department societies. I was a part of our History Department Society , Fashion Society and Dance society. We organised various in-house cultural event and inter - college as well. Our Principal and Professors were enthusiastic participants as well and always encouraged various cultural and sport events.

Everyone participated in various events and parties. Our fresher's parties and annual functions were always something we looked forward to. I loved every bit of my college life.

Campus life is very friendly and the Gender ratio is good as the college has a very good reputation.Many parties like Fresher parties,Farewell parties will be organised by the students in their respective branches in the Auditorium.Many Workshops are also organised in the respective branches to be interacted with the organising team and gains knowledge from them.As the college is situated in the Political city Vijayawada many incidents have occurred before due to the politics but the Governing body took serious actions to eradicate all the quarrels and incidents not to occur agian.

The Exams are a bit heavier in the aspect of students but this structure makes every student to be well prepared for the semester exams and it helps for the placements also.There will be 2 semesters for every particular year.In every semester there will be 2 Assignments and 2 Sessionals and every exam is conducted for 10 marks respectively.The semester exams were'nt conducted in a hectic schedule as every student may concentrate in all the topics and performs well in the final exams.After the Semester theoritical exams were conducted then the Lab exams will be conducted.

The gender ratio is around 60-40 but the rules are very strict. As you have to follow proper formal dress code and boys cant talk to girls. The make you follow the rules there are a lot of attenders who will be wathing you all over inside the campus as well as there are cameras in every corner of the campus there is a numbur of clubs inside student development cell program as litrary, robotics, science, maths, and you will get clubs for cultural works also. If you will have any idea for the betterment of the students or the society, you can directly contact the management and they will review your idea.

The syllabus is systematically arranged so that it will be easy for the students to be able to catch the pace and able to link the flow with the previous semesters. If you want to do some research work also they will provide you the chances to give your idea and work for the research center available inside the campus where you will get the exposure of a lot of research scholars.

All the major festivals are celebrated in the college. Apart from that there are events like international conferences and other seminars too. The technical fest take place for each department once in the year, providing an exposure to the students to learn more and more. The cultural fest also takes place once in the year and that's the main one of the university where all colleges and students from different courses comes and participates.

The admission process is totally through the merit list which comes out on the basis of the ranks. The corresponding rank student are allowed to make an account and participate in the online counseling. The counseling rounds then take place and you attend those to get the college available for your rank.

Campus life- While in other IITs, students would be fascinated by the city; here, the residents of Kharagpur are fascinated by IIT. IIT Kharagpur is an island in itself with all happenings, all possible places where one could hang out, chill, roam, play, and practically do anything is within the campus. KGP transforms into a micro-nation where some brainy folks are captured and left to live five years of their lives. You naturally get a sense of belonging and pride to be here. Gender ratio- 1:10 I guess. One girl for every ten boys. :P And that's something boys aren't too much happy about. XD You will remember your first day in Hall OP, the long advice your senior gave over the mess table. Maybe how you and your friends came up with a brilliant new start-up idea, the days when you planned a birthday surprise for your friend by the lakeside, the times when you got admitted in BC Roy to fake a medical leave, the first day you go all drunk on the roof-top, the 2.2 round on that cold winter night with your girlfriend, the first time you flunked and your friends cheered you up, the times when you headbanged over the rock performance at SF, or the times you spent in group study with friends in muggu room and ensured nobody studied, the CS tournament over LAN, the elaborate jali made for Illu, the long races on Khoj, the Hang-ons everywhere, the GymK Elections, the Hall Day mess and the mess in mess, the NSS Camp and the Fancy Dress Event on Farewell, the Inter-IIT thrill, the torn shirts in Holi, the new Film in Netaji, the first Department Trip, overnight snacks at Chhedis, the first party at Flavors, wow, the list goes endlessly! These memories tie you up. And these are made every single day here.

Surprised to see here is we address seniors not as sir or madam but by their name. It was quite akward for us in the initial month but then we got used to it. Seniors teaches us more than profs. It was yet another strange fact. For eg if i wanted to learn badminton skills a senior would guide me better than our own coach. Same is the case with other sports. On the other hand, alumni network helps us in all possible ways. Sometimes they organise the whole internship programme, some of the times they organise seminars telling us about their life and their struggles. We are really inspired our alumni.

The course in this college is upto the mark so much of practicality so that it would be easy later on this knowledge would fetch us in future for sure as they say book knowledge and street knowledge are equally importan course structure is really good coz all the perfect mass communication structure is been covered in this structure because we have green mat studio , all kinds of cameras, necessary equipment , lovely teacher's who has good experience levels too so what else you would ask for to complete a course.

I have no clue about the loans and scholarship in my college as I never fell into that category but they do encourage such price gift vouchers during the competition and as it's the Christian college they do help in concessions for the students or minorities who can't afford but only till under graduation level as ug is compulsory for every woman but not for pg.

You would have to crack another milestone before getting in here JEE MAIN this is the first step to make it into an IIT's you need to be among the top 2.5 lacs of students who had appeared for the exam. That's it and then you are eligible for the most toughest exam of the country. Cross this barricade and you are into the most prestigious college of the country.

Until last year it was something around feasible. But this year the price hike has made it difficult for many students. Its certainly expensive now. It's like the fee hike is just unusual. Just triple of what people paid until last year. No one's happy about this. And it really is getting difficult for many students here.

The course structure of IT in BCET is not so updated they are learning us old version syllabus according to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Formerly known as west bengal university of technology the faculty gives us assignment and project time to time.The big fact here is student are not intrested to learn everything by faculty so faculty didn't pay more attention to students.

This collage is been facing lack of communication and interpersonal skills they are not in the level of high they are coming from the village students so they are interested in the any of these events were behavior were very poor they've not respecting lack of standards no support for sports and entertainment.

Basically commerce is and nice field for research and even I the the more interested in the Indian economy which is very fruitful to understand and it's very good to have that people were done there PhD and more over it would be endless to defined contribution of my own personal information on this course.

If you are a home sick definitely coping with hostel life will be tough for you and if you are not then also it's not going to be easy because you will hardly get outing time they fully prepare you for being on ship life at any residential program is not easy. Coming to gender diversity our branch has least girls.I mean there is a batch of 80 in which only 2 girls are there(My case) there are many student representative parties who time to time take care of students demands if there is any problem with students they can seek help from student union.

See, no ENGINEERING college is blessed with faculty which we get in our JEE coaching institutes (KOTA-Resonance,CP).So if your expectation are of that level u will get screwed up you will find teachers who just teach for money.Very few teacher are dedicated in teaching to the best way they can you'll find some who hardly care about what they teach so,I would say start self study in college if u really want to study and be in touch with few good teacher of your college.That's what the condition in my college too.

Course curriculum is well structured and defined. Rigorous study is ensured through class room participation, case studies, analysis, presentations and book reading. The Book reading is one of the unique concept adopted by the institute, where each group of the class must complete one book related to the course and present it in the class. The learning are shared in the class through book reading presentation in front of the whole class and invigilators, followed by questionnaire sessions. Daily reflection sessions are conducted early morning before the start of formal classes for the day, where learning of the previous day is reflected, discussed in the classroom among the peer groups. Specializations available as per industry requirements in present trend. Like CSR, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management.

Continuous and comprehensive evaluation conducted through classroom participation, group work, assignments followed by term end examinations. One has to attain all the sessions, classes, presentation as well as group work. To complete the assessment and evaluation process project work is mandatory with presentation. Project work is research based and guided by the mentor and internal faculty. The research proposal, evaluation of proposal, research study and final research thesis are guided by internally assigned faculties.

About the placement cell of our college its well established and provide almost 95% placement. Almost all students get placed at our college placements. Good companies are also approaching our college for campus placements. Almost all familiar companies which provides a good salary n are efficient are coming for placement in our campus.

Course curriculum as from my opinion is good at our college. In the 6th semester we are provided with elective subjects for which we have given the chance to chose our wish. Well! The syllabus also makes us more to lern upto death of the subject. According to me, the teaching pattern of our college is well established and successful.

They were brilliant. I will take time to thanks my professors for the foundation that they built in us students, the inquisitiveness they created and most importantly the simplicity with which they explained the concepts. The varied learning styles each professor had helped us further to learn using new experimental teaching techniques.

The placements option was not much at that point of time as this was the first year of the course, however students did get placed in financial, pharmaceutical, banking, business process outsourcing, IT , entrepreneurship and educational institutions. A majority of eth students also opted for a higher studies.

I filled up the form of "kiitee2013". First of all the entrance exm fee was ₹0 nd hence kiit attracted a good bunch of students for entrance exm. Paper was a bit tuff and we thought that the cutoff would be low. My rank was 1130 .kiit doesnot disclose the marks nd cutoff ,only sends your rank via media. From very beginning when I started my preparation for engineering ,I have decided to study mechanical engineering as I m very much found of cars nd bikes nd was always curious to know it's mechanisms. One thing I must add here is if you are planning to become an engineer, you must be sure with your choice and area of interest. For e.g. if a person is very much interested in computers nd want to learn it's working then he/she should opt CS/IT branch. DONT GET INFLUENCED BY OTHERS when you are choosing your branch in engineering because one wrong decision will spoil your whole career. When my results were announced I got a call letter from kiit for the counseling process. We arrived at Bhubaneswar and reported at college premise on our schedule time. The counseling process started by filling up a from which asked our branch choice nd personal detail. We were sitting in the main auditorium of kiit which is I think the best audi i have ever seen. They were calling students according to their rank. Screens were there which was showing the availability of number of seats in respective branches.usually top rank students opts CS nd Mech so seats in these branches were decreasing rapidly.My turn came ,I got there .they asked me for my 12th marksheet and verified my PCM marks.(60% in PCM is compulsory). When I got there ,mechanical branch was showing 200 available seats. They asked for my choice I got a confirmation letter for mechanical branch.

Counseling charge in 2013 was ₹60,000 which is refundable if after counseling you are not taking admission. After my counseling was over, I returned home . 2 months later, kiit website uploaded the schedule for the reporting process of fresher's. Fee structure for 2013-17 batch was 1,10,000 per semester , 60000 hostel charge per year nd 25000 mess charge. The fee structure is reviewed every year. They doesnot accept cash so we have to do all the payment through DD. I reached college premise on schedule time. We got our ID card which will be the most imp identity for you in college . After that we got a coupon which was indicating our hostel name and my room number. We were directed towards the hostel by college bus. The college administration was very cooperative nd very supportive so you will not feel a bit that you are at a new place. We reached hostel and the warden directed us towards our room. One of the biggest advantage here is, the 1st year students remains completely disconnected with the seniors. They have their own hostels in which all first years leaves together. They have separate campus as 1st year syllabus is common for all. In 2nd year you will be redirected to ur respective branch and branch hostel. Ragging is completely ban here nd seniors are very cooperative. But in first year you have to be In formals as it is compulsory. At hostel, you will be provided matrices of kurlon, pillow, 2 set of bedsheets ,bucket nd mug. Table chair nd a separate cupboard. Each room will be shared by 3 students.

Faculties are very high qualified. But we were disappointed for appointed some faculties who are not able to teach students effectively and in well mannered. Out of our full course we have mark this one point in lack point for institute for our course. Visiting faculties were good but we think institute has to find more good faculties. Our admission advertisement was coming in newspaper because we are experienced persons and our course is for only experienced persons. Firstly, you apply to the exam somewhere in January. After your application is accepted, your board exam results are taken into consideration and if you clear the 12th board exam cutoff, your BITSAT score will be eligible to be considered for admission. Post BITSAT (which happens somewhere around April-June), you get your score immediately. Now the college will send an update as to what courses and campus do you prefer for admission. The first list of admissions comes out reflecting the course you are offered based on the scores. This happens for about 4 times and are called 'iterations'. Finally there is a final iteration that happens on campus where you have the option to change campus.

There are 3 highlights about the college: 1. BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM): THis is a sports festival that occurs in the first semester every year. College across India participate for about 50-60 sports. 2. OASIS: This is a cultural fest that happens every year in the first semester and is known to be one of the best in India. It goes on for 96 hours straight without any break and is wholly managed by students. 3. APOGEE: This is a technical fest and is more inclined towards showcasing cool projects and learning by the students. There are fun games like Stock Market predictor or bridge building challenge.
