Most students pass successfully. Best Faculty: Most faculty members are helpful and experienced in their subjects. I did not have any major issues with any faculty member.
The course curriculum is relevant and covers the core concepts of the subject effectively. It includes both theoretical and practical learning, which helps build a strong academic foundation. The curriculum is useful for higher studies as well as basic real-world applications. However, more industry exposure, skill-based workshops, and practical training could further improve the learning experience. Exams are conducted regularly through internal assessments and semester examinations. The difficulty level is moderate and manageable with consistent study and attendance.

Many fests such as GITAM Cultural Club- Kalakriti fest, Business School Fest- GITAM Excellence Meet and Annual fest- Shore are a few main fests to name, apart from that, the GITAM Sports meet is also conducted. Every department had their own clubs, I was a part of 3 clubs- Marketing Club, HR Club and NSS. I was also part of the Academics Affairs Committee in Student Council for Management Students.
Basic MBA curriculum including all management courses, also had additional skill courses such as Advanced Excel, Bloomberg for Finance etc. Also provided exclusive placement training for students. Difficulty of the exam depended on the lecturer setting the paper.
When it comes to the course structure, there are three key phases that align with the three semesters: First Semester: This is a relatively relaxed, learning-focused semester where you are introduced to the fundamentals of broadcast journalism and newsroom practices. Second Semester: This semester encourages you to think more critically while gaining hands-on experience with the software and hardware used in newsrooms. You also deepen your understanding of various aspects of journalism and broadcasting. Third Semester: The final semester is entirely internship-based. By this stage, the faculty believes you are ready to work in a professional newsroom environment. Your assignments, reports, and contributions may even be broadcast live on television. That essentially summarizes the three semesters. As for examinations, assessments are conducted in all three semesters and are based on the knowledge and practical skills acquired throughout the course. Most exams focus on news packages, video production, reporting, and editing, so developing strong technical and storytelling skills is important. There are three semester-end examinations in total, and if you are genuinely passionate about journalism, you should find them both manageable and rewarding.
Well, it's highly relevant if you want to become a journalist. No other news channel gives you opportunities to work on projects like these. I firmly believe that sometimes you need to push people to help them perform at their best. As for suggestions, I would recommend that the Dean be a little more open to criticism. Doing so would help build a stronger and more effective team over time. I would also suggest not rushing through the course content, as allowing more time for learning and practical application would greatly benefit the students.
So we have two important event. One is symposium which is like a competition between department. They provide stalls and events. Both technical nd non technical events. All year student will work together to complete this. Other one is takshashila event where we will celebrate for 3 days. Full fun activities and award ceremony for who done the best in past year. Our college have social groups and clubs also sports related clubs. In technical side we have come where beyond theoretical practices are done. I was in IoT coe which helped me a lot to learn about technologies and how can we work with them. Each student can join their interested coe
Ok, so the faculties who teach me was not that hard to interact. They are very friendly with us and explain us the concept whenever we asked them. At exam time they will be very hard and they give lot of study things which is managable. I like all the faculties I know I would get some shouting if I did something wrong. Afterward they will also tell us why did you do that and they care for us. So we have weekly test and monthly test. This is happening when a unit is finished so we can write the semester without any fear. We also have UPC exam which is like a prep exam before semester.
The fees for my course "MBA in Oil and Gas Management" was round about 15,00,000 approximately for 2 years. The fee structure per semester came upto 3,25,000-3,75,000 excluding personal expenses and optional charges. The fee structure remained largely similar during my entire course duration with only minor revisions announced by university. This fee structure was after the Uttarakhand domicile scholarship which gave me a 30% off on the total fees and is given to students who are the residents of Uttarakhand. Other students who were not the residents of Uttarakhand paid about 18,00,000 as their tuition fees.
For every subject there would be different faculties who are mostly really very supportive since the start till the end. I really appreciate Atul Rawat Sir, Anirudh Sir, Binod Sir and Pramod Sir who have been there throughout a rock in the entire course duration. Without their unwavering support, I wouldn't be able to understand the basics of my domain. Throughout the course there are 8 exams, 4 mid semester exams and 4 end semester exams. Mostly students pass the exams as the concepts taught at the class are very much understood.
Faculties are generally knowledgeable and experienced , the faculty to student ratio is reasonable and most faculties are approachable. Students who actively engage usually receive good gardes and academics. My AEM 2 faculty SUSMAY Nandi sir is really nice ... he is understanding and taught really well , he made complex concepts easier to understand and encouraged active participation in class. I dont wanna take name of any faculty as every faculty tries there best but there are some faculties who dont take teaching seriously and are very careless , some intentionally fails the whole batch or some specific student . The examination system typically consists of : Continuous assessments , quizzes , assign and lab evaluations mid sem end sem project work the difficulty level of exam differs from subj to subj ... students who attend and learn usually dont faaace major difficulties . pass perecentage is average . some students fail usually due to poor attendance , missed asssements
placements is generally good , specially for students who actively build their skills through project and coding practice . students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem , internships are offered from 5th n 6th sem ...also in the 1st and 2nd year we have internship like in the 1st year we have SRIJAN internship in which we work in a NGO and in the 2nd year we have an internship in a company. highest package reported in recent years is 50+ lpa while average for computer science related programs is generally around 8 - 9 lpa after completing my graduation degree i plan to pursue opportunity in cybersecurity for 2-3 years and then continue my studies.

Apart from the academic my class teacher also encourages us to develop good values ,discipline and confidence . She also motivate us to participate in various activities.
I would rate the course curriculum very highly in terms of of both relevance and comprehensive . The curriculum is well structure and covers the essential concepts required for academic and professional growth . Its is regularly updated to align with current industry trends and technologies advancements ensuring that students gain practical and up to date knowledge
Some teachers are friendly and supportive, but a few are very strict with excessive homework and repetitive writing tasks. Students also feel that evaluation is too harsh and passing marks are difficult to score due to low marking. We request a more student-friendly and balanced approach in teaching and evaluation
The course is not too bad, but the overall experience could be better with improved faculty support, infrastructure, and career opportunities. Overall, the course is okay, but improvements in teaching quality, student support, and practical exposure would make it much better.

The fee structure at Maharaja Institute of Technology Thandavapura is reasonable compared to many private engineering colleges and varies depending on the course and admission category. The college supports students through various government scholarships, merit-based scholarships, and fee concession schemes for eligible candidates. Financial assistance is available for students from economically weaker sections through state and central government programs. The institution also provides guidance in applying for scholarships and educational loans, making higher education more accessible and affordable for deserving students.
The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. It provides a strong academic foundation while helping students develop relevant technical and problem-solving skills.

The yearly fee for my course is approximately ?1,50,000, which includes tuition fees, examination fees, laboratory fees, library fees, and other compulsory charges. The total fee for the complete 4-year course is around ?6,00,000. The fee structure has remained mostly stable, with only minor increases in some academic years. Scholarships are available for eligible students based on merit, category, and government schemes. Financial assistance can also be availed through state and central scholarship programs.
The annual fee for my course is ?1,60,000. This includes tuition fees, laboratory fees, development fees, examination fees, registration fees, and other compulsory academic charges. A caution deposit is also collected during admission, which is refundable at the end of the course as per college rules. The fee structure for my batch is approximately ?1,60,000 per year. Assuming the fee remains unchanged, the total fee for the complete four-year course is around ?6,40,000. However, there may be a small increase in fees for future batches depending on institutional policies. Students admitted under different categories may pay different amounts. Government quota students generally pay lower fees, while management quota students pay higher fees. SC, ST, and other reserved category students may receive fee concessions or reimbursements through government schemes. I receive a scholarship of ?18,000 per year, which helps reduce my educational expenses. In addition, students can apply for various scholarships and financial aid programs such as merit-based scholarships, merit-cum-means scholarships, post-matric scholarships for SC/ST students, and minority scholarships. Eligibility for these scholarships is usually based on academic performance, family income, and category. These scholarships and fee concessions help students manage the overall cost of education and reduce their financial burden during the course.

The college has a dedicated placement cell that organizes training programs, aptitude tests, mock interviews, and career guidance sessions to improve students' employability skills. These activities help students become industry-ready and increase their chances of securing good job opportunities.
Campus Life at UPES is truly amazing. There are major 3 fests that i experienced that are SPANDAN which is sports and cultural fest that is occured to encourage student faculty relationship. next is OJAS in this sports are played and students from different universities also come and play. I was in OC so it was a crazy experience for me and Lastly UURJA in this fest artists are called and this is the grand annual fest of UPES. Well i am little dissappointed in fests as there are no such celebrations that i experienced. I feel students in coleege stress a lot about placements degrees courses skills and for that atleast one fest either small or big should be organised just for fun. Student clubs are amazing here and names of clubs are amazing like sports club is knowns as SPHURIT dance club is known as TAAL TARANG and many more. Student portal everything works fine and technologies provided are also amazing.
My course BCA is for 3 years and my course fees is 6.5 lakhs approx. without any scholarship. I live in uttarakhand so i got the UTTARAKHAND DOMICILE SCHOLARSHIP i.e. of 25% for whole course . so approximately i pay 2 lakhs every year , around 1.2 or less for each semester. There are other scholarships available as well like MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (applicable only on first year) , in this you get scholarship on the basis of 12th Marks, that too varies on how much you scored like 95%+ = 30% scholarship, 90%+ = 25% of scholarship and so on till 60%. Next is NATIONAL LEVEL EXAM SCHOLARSHIP, based on JEE/CUET you get scholarships and etc.. Except for domicile all the other scholarships are only available for 1st year and to continue it you should maintain you CGPA. If you dont avail any scholarship you have to pay 6.5 fees for whole course.
Each semester was filled with different courses, and each semester included specialisation subjects. The faculty, is a mix - some were so good, that I think I might've found connections for life, and some, I wouldn't even want to remember after I complete my degree. Each semester had 2 sets of exams - mid sems and end sems. With the weightage as follows - 50% internals, 20% mid sems, 30% end sems.
Per semester, the fee was around 2.5 Lac. Since my degree was of 2 years (MCA), the total was 5lac. I did receive academic scholarship after my first year of around 38%, which was amongst the highest of the academic scholarships in the batch of 240 students. Apart from that, 20K was security deposite, and admission and registration fee included around 50k.
