- My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
- The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
- Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
- The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students

- The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
- Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
- The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.
Dislikes
- some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.
Placement Experience:
If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.

- Peer group, faculty and people in general are very good and worth learning from
- Maintenance of campus and division of labor is very good
- Pro-student atmosphere is there with adequate help and support
Dislikes
- The courses are sequenced with bottleneck courses which if failed can disturb everything
- Mess food quality is good in absolute sense but hygiene issues still noticeable
- Certain faculty members are unruly and have to be dealt with care
Placement Experience:
Students appear for placement exams in the beginning of their fourth B.Tech year. Many companies like MAANG, Optiver, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Accenture, BCG visit the campus with number of offers ranging from single digit (say 2) to double digits (say 30).
Highest package I am aware among my friends: 90 LPA, average: 15 LPA. 90% students get placements.
I plan to do a corporate job after completing my degree.

- I liked their course curriculum and management.
- They are student friendly , some professors are very friendly.
- Many events are student driven only , that is important for management skills.
Dislikes
- The one and most disliked thing is that they don't even give 1 day gap in exams .
- Sometimes their attendance policy is very hectic.

Hmm , the course structure designed by them is very accurate and they first teach that course and then make compulsory to attend lab of same course in coming semester, this ensures that whatever we have learnt , we can apply that in real life as well.

- First of all the fest in the college are really very awesome..There is a cultural fest that occur once a year (Rendezvous). This is a must watch fest for all the new upcoming students.
- The sports culture at iit delhi is much more engaging and developed... People compete in the tournament names as GC(general championship)... Seniors help us to learn and play new sports which we never played earlier...
- Hostel and it's life is really very awesome and loved to spend... The food in the mess is well managed by a committee of each hostel.. and seprate apartments have given to the mess staff so that there is no problem in working of the mess.
Dislikes
- The one thing I dislike is the quality of teaching of the professors.. The lectures are sometimes really very boring to attend and students eventually lose interest in attending lectures and are much dependent on self study.
- The second thing I dislike is about the size of the campus.. yes it is about 340 acres. But in comparison to other iits it is small. And hence there are not as big playground or activity centres or halls as compared to other iit s.
- The third thing I dislike is about the fact that except of cycle no other vehicle is allowed for the students living in hostel...There are many big fines imposed if someone is caught ...Around 10000 if get caught with bike...
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course at IIT Delhi are well prepared and well organised for the students... Especially for the first year students .. after first year one can choose and drop a course.. as he/she wish... There are some some course that are more theoretical that should more about pratical knowledge...the exams at iit delhi are very frequent I mean there might be a quiz or a viva or some kind of demo each coming week .. so We have to be prepared for each and every thing that is upcoming.... The difficulty of exam are moderate to difficult... But it largely depend on the professor of the course (course coordinator)....

- The environment- nice plantations and comparatively less pollution than the city.
- The classerooms- very big and futuristic classes with ACs and projectors
- The events- many events like TRYST for techfest, RDV for cultural fest.
Dislikes
- The language barriers- most of the people speak Hindi, so the assumed language of conversation is Hindi between TAs and students or sometimes Teachers too.
- Fast paced classes for slow learners compared to the toppers
- Larger classrooms suggests less interaction between students themselves as well as with teachers.
Placement Experience:
This is one of the benifits of joining an IIT. Placements and internships are conducted by Office career services-OCS at IIT Delhi. The salaries are kinda low but the employability is good. Women get the jobs a little bit easier compared to Men due to the companies rule. I got placed but the salary is low. I am thinking to leave the job in 2 years and prepare for Civils exam to become an IAS officer.

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
