The Georgia Institute of Technology is a top-ranked public co educational research university in the USA founded on October 13, 1885 as the Georgia School of Technology. It is in record as the highest producer of female engineers in the United States. Admissions at Georgia Institute of Technology are offered on a rolling basis and follow early decision and regular application deadlines of October 15 and January 6, respectively. It also requires a non refundable fee of 85 USD from all its applicants which is waivable from case-to-case basis. Campus

  • Georgia Tech's main campus is housed on a lush 400-acre, a tree-lined campus located in the heart of the city in the Midtown district of Atlanta.
  • Atlanta is packed with lots of side-attractions, high-tech startups, small businesses, and multinational corporations, along with interesting facilities like theaters, museums, and concert venues.
  • There are 20 intramural sports, 43 sports campus, about 400 student organizations, and some age-long campus tradition
  • The university also offers campus safety and security services like 24-hour emergency telephones, 24-hour foot, and vehicle patrols, lighted pathways/sidewalks, late-night transport/escort service, controlled dormitory access, etc.
  • The institute also has 5 satellite campuses in different places.

Housing Facilities/Residence

About 98% of first-year students and 45% of all undergraduates live on campus. Housing is guaranteed for any freshman who wants to live on campus. The institute also offers gender-inclusive housing for students. There are 40 residence halls on campus across which the housing is provided

Georgia Tech dining offers a plethora of convenient, flexible dining and meal plans. More than 24 cuisines, dishes, and meal options are available in the dining halls including vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Housing rates range from 1,635 USD per semester to 5,755 per semester and it includes all utilities and high-speed Internet access There is Family/Monthly Housing for graduate students and married and/or single parents.

To be eligible for on-campus housing, applicants must be enrolled for 9 credit hours in both the spring and fall semesters. During the housing application, a one-time non-refundable application fee of 80 USD will be charged. Off-campus housing is available for students who are not eligible for on-campus housing or who decide to live off-campus.

Scholarships/Financial Aid

At the institute, international students are not eligible for institutional scholarships to study in the USA and federal or state financial aid programs. Limited privately funded financial aid is available to international students, and most of the available ones are reserved for graduate students.
