Step-by-Step CMAT 2027 Application Process

The CMAT 2027 application has four stages that must be completed in order. Your application is not submitted until fee payment is confirmed — do not stop after uploading documents.

Step 1: New Registration

1. Go to exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT and click Click Here to Register/Login. You will be redirected to cmat.ntaonline.in.
2. Click New Registration and enter your name exactly as on your Class 10 certificate, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
3. Create a password and choose a security question.
4. Submit — NTA will send an Application Number to your registered email and mobile. Save it immediately; you need it for every future login.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in with your Application Number and password at cmat.ntaonline.in.
2. Enter personal details: name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and category.
3. Fill in academic details: graduation stream, university name, percentage obtained, and year of passing.
4. Choose your preferred exam cities — NTA typically allows two to three choices.
5. Select the MBA programme type you wish to pursue.
6. Review all entries carefully before saving. You can correct details only during NTA’s correction window after the deadline.

Step 3: Upload Photo and Signature

1. Upload your recent passport-size photograph in JPG/JPEG format within the specified file-size limit.
2. Upload your signature in JPG/JPEG format within the specified size.
3. Preview both uploads to confirm they are clear, correctly cropped, and within specifications — blurry or oversized uploads are rejected.
4. Save and proceed to payment.

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

1. Click Payment after saving the uploaded documents.
2. Choose a payment mode: net banking, credit or debit card, or UPI.
3. Complete the transaction — a confirmation page with your transaction ID appears on success.
4. Download and save the CMAT 2027 application confirmation page immediately — this is your proof of a completed application.
5. A confirmation email is also sent to your registered address.

Tips to Avoid Common Mistakes in CMAT 2027 Application

• Name must match Class 10 records: Any mismatch between your application name and ID documents causes problems at the exam centre and during admission verification.
• Use an active email and mobile number: NTA sends the admit card, result, and all alerts to your registered contacts — do not use a temporary or shared address.
• Photo taken within 6 months: An old photograph is a common rejection reason. The signature on the form must also match the one you write at the exam centre.
• Category certificate must be current: SC/ST/OBC students should upload a valid certificate issued by a competent authority — outdated certificates are frequently rejected during counselling.
