    Registration for MH CET Law 3 year program has been further extended due to COVID-19 pandemic scare. The last date to now register for the law entrance test is May 30, 2020. For students who wish to pursue law post graduation, the application process had already closed on March 6, 2020.

    MH CET Law is a National Level Common Entrance Examination conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education, Maharashtra. To apply for MH CET Law, candidates will have to fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria to ensure smooth application process

    • Indian Intermediate Graduates with at least 45% marks can apply online for the exam. Check MH CET Law Eligibility
    • Candidates should make sure that they fill valid email id and mobile number which should stay active till the release of the result of the exam. 
    • Scan the Photograph and Signature as per the mentioned specifications. 
    • Application Fee/ Intimation Charges are non-refundable.

    Registration steps for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programs are almost similar. They are listed below:

    1. Visit the official website or CET Cell’s website.
    2. Click on ‘Apply Online’ tab, which will redirect you to a new screen.
    3. Select ‘Click Here for New Registration’ tab.
    4. Enter Name, Contact Details and Email ID. 
    5. A provisional Registration No. and Password will be generated and will be sent to the registered Email ID and Mobile Number.

    Step 1: Application Form Filling

    Log in to the portal with the provisional ID and password. Complete the form by filling all the details as asked. Click “Save and Next” button. When you are sure of the information, click on “Submit” button and move to the next step.

    Details For Filling The Application Form

    Candidate NameIncludes the details of first name, middle name, and last name.
    Email IDA valid functional email id which can be used for communication
    Mobile NumberA functional mobile number so that candidates can receive the notification on the phone.
    Candidate AgeAge has to be given in years and months eg: 26 years and 6 month
    Date of BirthTo verify the age DOB is printed in the format of the date, month and year.
    Father NameName of the father in 50 characters as printed in class 10th certificate
    Mother nameName written without prefix must have 50 characters and must match the name printed on birth certificate.
    Class 10th MarksPercentage marks obtained in class 10 and the year of passing class 10. Details of board cleared in class 10.
    Class 12th MarksDetails of the stream selected, board percentage marks and year of passing class 12.
    Graduation subjects (Only for 3-year LLB Program)Subjects studied in graduation, university details and percentage marks obtained in qualifying examination.
    Reservation detailsUpload the certificate issued and registered with government bodies. The reservation is for Kashmir migrants, SC/ST, OBC, OBC of Gujarat.
    Address detailsDetails of street, city, district, etc. in the format displayed on the official website.

    Step 2: Uploading of Documents

    Upload the scanned images of additional documents, photograph, and signature. This must comply with the guidelines defined by the conducting body. A brief about the specifications are listed below:

    • Passport size coloured photograph of 200 x 230 dimensions.
    • Scanned image of the signature in 140x 60 dimensions with file size of less than 20 kb
    • All the images must be uploaded in JPEG format.

    Step 3: Final Submission

    Before finally submitting the application form, click the ‘Preview’ tab and verify all the details in the application form. Modify details if required and click on ‘Final Submit Only’. Next, click on ‘Payment’ tab and proceed for making the payment for Maharashtra Law CET.

    Step 4: Payment of MH CET Law Application Fee

    The application fee for CET can be paid via online mode only. Bank Transaction Charges for online payment of fee will have to be borne by the applicant. Tabulated below is the category wise fee for the exam:

    • Modes of Payment – Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)/ Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS (Immediate Payment Service), Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.
    • Once you have submitted the application fee, do not press the refresh button or return to the back page.
    • An e-receipt will be generated once the application fee is received, take a print out of the form then.
    • In case no fee receipt gets generated, this can mean that the system has failed.
    • In case a candidate uses an international credit card, the transaction will be accepted in Indian rupee only. The conversion charges will be borne by the candidate.
    • The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

    Application Form-Important Information

    • Submit only a single application form. In case multiple forms are submitted, the recent one will be considered.
    • Fill in all the details carefully and preview the form before making the final submission as there is no provision of Form Correction in MH CET Law 2020 exam.
    • Choice of exam centre should be made carefully as no changes will be entertained at a later stage by the Competent Authority. 
    • Information regarding the use of scribes by PwD candidates will be clearly mentioned in the online application. One must go through the same thoroughly.
    • Applications found incomplete or defective will be rejected immediately. No representation regarding the same will be entertained under any circumstances.

    The State Common Entrance Test Cell prescribes the eligibility for the law programs. As per the standards, eligibility is different for 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB programs. Listed below is brief information for the same:

    Eligibility for Appearing in MH CET LLB 5-Year Program

    • Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
    • SSC or HSC graduates from a recognised school in Maharashtra with 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST category).
    • Candidates appearing for qualifying examination in the academic year 2017-18 can also apply online for CET Exam. 

    Eligibility for Appearing to MH CET LLB 3-Year Program

    • Candidate should be an Indian citizen
    • A graduate and or a post graduate in any discipline from a recognised university in Maharashtra with a minimum of 45% marks.
    • No upper age limit for admissions to 3 year LLB CET in the academic year 2020-19.

    FAQs – MH CET Law Application Form

    Ques 1. What should I do if there is a lot of delay in accessing the page?

    Ans 1. The internet connection must be checked. During the last few days, plenty of people are accessing the website so it can be slow.

    Ques 2. How do I know that my application is registered?

    Ans 2. If you get a registration number and password, this means the registration number is successful.

    Ques 3. I did not receive the email intimation for registration of my application?

    Ans 3. Check the spam folder of your mailbox, these are auto response emails. Check the mail policy of your email service provider, where is it directing the auto-response emails.

    Ques 4. How do I re-confirm that my application is saved?

    Ans 4. Generate a reprint of the application form to check the successful registration.

    Ques 5.  I got Blank / Zero Registration No. after submission of application online. What can be the issue?

    Ans 5. Register again and take a print out of the application form to ensure the registration.

    Ques 6. After filling up the complete form, I got Blank Screen / Internet got disconnected / My PC closed/hanged / shutdown. Is my application saved/registered?

    Ans 6. Log in to the system with the same registration number and password. In case you are not able to log in, register again.

    Ques 7.  In which mode can I pay the application fee?

    Ans 7. In online mode only the application fee can be paid. A fee has to be paid through a credit/debit card.

    Ques 8. What details should I retain while replying to auto-response emails?

    Ans 8. Retain the details of “registration number” and “password”.

    Ques 9. What details should I provide while writing about the problem?

    Ans 9. The details of registration number, mobile number, date of birth and the full name must be written in the email sent to the authorities.

    Ques 10. I want to change/correct the details I entered in the Application. How can I do that?

    Ans 10. Before hitting the final submit button, you can change the information furnished on the application form. Once the final submit button is hit, no changes can be done.
