    The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE), Maharashtra defines the exam pattern and syllabus of MH CET Law 3-year and 5-year programs. The syllabus for both of the courses is separate yet, the basic MH CET Law Exam Pattern remains the same. 

    MH CET Law Syllabus has been similar over the years. Though, competition for the state exam has increased by a subsequent percentage.     MH CET Syllabus - Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning

    The section will test a candidate’s aptitude or interest in law, research aptitude and problem-solving abilities. Questions are framed on the basis of legal proposition and facts satisfying the propositions. The propositions might not be true in the real sense but candidates are required to assume them to be true. And according to that they are supposed to answer with some well-supported conclusions.

    • The level of questions will vary as per the programs (3 year LLB and 5 year LLB).
    • For 5 year LLB Program, 40 questions will be asked in the online examination.
    • For 3 year LLB Program, 30 questions will be asked in the law exam.

    General Knowledge with Current Affairs

    MH CET Syllabus - General Knowledge with Current Affairs

    For this section, candidates are required to stay updated with the recent happenings in the national and international arenas. The questions will be framed from History (Ancient, Medieval and Modern), Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics, and the Current Affairs of the past one year.

    • This section puts to test a candidate’s knowledge of the current affairs at domestic and international level. 
    • There will be static GK questions as well. Static GK constitutes facts about people, places and things that will remain the same in future as well.
    • For LLB 5 year Program, 30 questions will be asked from this section.
    • For LLB 3 year Program, 40 questions will be asked from GK and Current Affairs section.

    Logical and Analytical Reasoning

    MH CET Syllabus - Logical and Analytical Reasoning

    Logical Reasoning -  This subject is to test the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, do logical linking and tick mark the logical arguments. It will include a wide variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences etc.

    Analytical Reasoning - This subject is to measure the candidate’s ability to understand the structure of relationships and draw logical conclusions from them. 

    • For 3 year LLB Program, there will be 30 questions.
    • For 5 year LLB Program, there will be 40 questions.

    English Section Syllabus

    MH CET Law Syllabus English Section

    Questions from this section test a candidate’s proficiency in English. The section usually has three major components viz.

    • Vocabulary – it covers synonyms, antonyms, analogies, etc. 
    • Grammar – you are required to correct the grammatical errors in questions, fill in the blanks with appropriate words etc.
    • Comprehension – tests the understanding of the passage, including its central theme and word meanings.

    Hi Vithal, the LLB course is 3 years course and the last date of admission for LLB is April 22, 2019 (tentatively).
