Reservation of Quotas for PU CET Counselling 2027

How Much Money is Needed for PU CET Counselling 2027?

The total cost of PU CET (UG) counselling has two components: a non-refundable processing fee paid online during registration, and refundable securities paid at the campus when your seat is locked. Programme-specific tuition fees are also paid on the counselling day but are governed by the PU fee structure for the academic year, separate from the counselling fee.

Non-Refundable Fees

These are paid online during admission form submission and are not returned under any circumstance — whether or not you receive an allotment, whether or not you attend the physical counselling, and whether or not you withdraw after admission.

Refundable Fees

University security, library security, and hostel security (if a hostel seat is allotted) are collected at the campus on the counselling day. PU CET 2027 Counselling Rounds and Seat Allotment

If seats remain after the four-day cycle, a second round for vacant returned seats is held in early August, and a spot round follows in late August if seats are still unfilled. Seat allotment is strictly based on merit position and category. If you skip your assigned day without a valid reason, you forfeit your turn for Round 1 and can only attend Round 2 or the Spot Round, where popular specialisations — especially B. Pharmacy and high-demand B.Sc. (Hons.) subjects — are typically already filled.

Because PU CET (UG) counselling uses on-the-spot choice locking at the physical venue, the decision you make at the seat allotment desk on your assigned day is largely final for that round. If you withdraw after accepting a seat, the seat acceptance fee is not fully refunded. Before choosing to skip Round 1 and wait for Round 2, check Panjab University’s published closing-rank data from 2025 and 2026 for your target specialisation. B. Pharmacy at UIPS closes very early in Round 1 because of high demand and limited seats; it rarely sees meaningful availability in Round 2. If your rank does not reach B. Pharmacy on Day 1, waiting is unlikely to help.
