    SNAP 2020 Sample Papers

The best way to start your preparation is to go through the previous year question papers as it will help you to

    • Know the pattern, types of questions and marking schemes.

    • You will come to know the trends of the questions and important areas to focus upon.

    • You will learn Time Management as you need to complete 110 questions in 120 minutes.

    • You will be able to gain an insight on the type of expected questions.

    • Solving previous years and giving mock tests will boost your Confidence Level.

The mock tests are usually available on the official website from October to need to register for it and book their slots.

SNAP 2020 Section Wise Preparation Strategy

One should focus on all three sections equally. Identify your weak and strong sections and prepare accordingly.

    • General English

This section tests the candidate’s proficiency in Grammar and Comprehension. This is an easy section to prepare. There are specific types of questions being asked which can be easily identified once you go through previous year questions. Practice grammar exercises from books like Wren and Martin. Prepare all the grammatical rules thoroughly. Plan a strategy of how you will attempt ‘Reference to Context’ questions as they are most time consuming in this section. Build your vocabulary slowly and gradually and incorporate those words in daily life otherwise it's hard to remember all the new words at once.

    • Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency

Practice questions on Ratio and Proportion, Percentages and Averages, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Number System, Time and Work, and Speed, Distance and Time. Make a note of all formulae and memorize them by heart. Learn short tricks to solve the questions in less period of time. Practice on how to interpret graphs and diagram. It is a scoring section.

    • Analytical and Logical Reasoning

This section is the most interesting section amongst all the sections. Familiarity with the types of questions and lots of practice is the only way to crack this section. One should practice questions on topics like Blood Relations, Statements and Conclusion, Critical Reasoning, Statement and Assumption, Number and Letter Series, Coding, Directions, Syllogisms and Word Formation.
