TS LAWCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria will be defined by Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. The standards vary as per the law courses. The law entrance examination is scheduled for May 25, 2018.

Law aspirants can apply online in March 2018. With the release of official notification for TS LAWCET 2018, the registration window will also become functional. Visit the official website in order to access the application form.  

Read on to know the TS LAWCET age limit, qualifying marks, nationality requirements to successfully register for the examination this year.

General Eligibility Criteria for TS LAWCET

There are few criteria that are common to both of the programs namely 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB programs. They are listed below:

On the basis of Residence

  • Indian citizen who is native resident of Telangana
  • Indian citizen and whose one or both parents were domiciles of Telangana
  • Indian citizen and whose both or any one of the parents had studied Telangana
Note: Candidates are required to provide a citizenship proof. The certificate of residential proof must be obtained from the recognized body in the state of Telangana.

On the basis of Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for a candidate to apply for the Telangana Common Entrance Test 2018. CheckTS LAWCET Registration Procedure

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria for 5 year LLB Program

Aspirants seeking admissions to 5 year LLB Program offered by various colleges in the state of Telangana, have to fulfill the following criteria:

Age Limit

Candidates should be minimum of 17-years of age at the time of the exam.

Educational Qualifications

  • Intermediate graduates or of an equivalent exam from any recognized state or central board.
  • Minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam is needed for students of General/OBC category to appear for the exam.
  • SC/ST category candidates are required to have a minimum of 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam.  

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 3 Year Program

Law aspirants willing to pursue masters in Law from TSCHE need to meet the criteria mentioned below:

Age Limit

A candidate should be minimum of 21 years of age at the time of the exam. The age limit will be counted up to December 31, 2018.

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any discipline and from a State or Central University.
  • Candidates belonging to General/ OBC category must have a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam
  • Candidates of SC/ST category are required to have a minimum of 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of college can apply for the program if they satisfy other eligibility requirements.
