TS LAWCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria is prescribed by the Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. The standards vary as per the law courses. The official schedule will be released shortly at But, as per the previous year trends, TS LAWCET 2019 is expected to be conducted in May 2019.

Law aspirants seeking admission in various law schools in the state of Telangana can apply online in March 2019. With the release of official notification, the registration window will also become functional. Candidates have to visit the official website, to access the application form. Read on to know the TS LAWCET age limit, qualifying marks, nationality requirements to successfully register for the examination this year.

General Eligibility for TS LAWCET

There are few criteria that are common to both of the programs (3 year LLB and 5 year LLB programs). They are listed below:

On the basis of Residence

  • Indian citizen who is native resident of Telangana
  • Indian citizen and whose one or both parents were domiciles of Telangana
  • Indian citizen and whose both or any one of the parents had studied Telangana
Note: Candidates are required to provide a citizenship proof. The certificate of residential proof must be obtained from the recognized body in the state of Telangana.

On the basis of Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for a candidate to apply for the Telangana Common Entrance Test 2019. CheckTS LAWCET Registration Procedure

TS LAWCET Eligibility: 5 year LLB Program

Aspirants seeking admissions to 5 year LLB Program offered by various colleges in the state of Telangana, have to fulfill the following criteria:

Age Limit

Candidates should be minimum of 17-years of age at the time of the exam.

Educational Qualifications

  • Intermediate graduates or of an equivalent exam from any recognized state or central board.
  • Minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam is needed for students of General/OBC category to appear for the exam.
  • SC/ST category candidates are required to have a minimum of 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam.  

TS LAWCET Eligibility: 3 Year Program

Law aspirants willing to pursue masters in Law from TSCHE need to meet the criteria mentioned below:

Age Limit

A candidate should be minimum of 21 years of age at the time of the exam. The age limit will be counted up to December 31, 2019.

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any discipline and from a State or Central University.
  • Candidates belonging to General/ OBC category must have a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam
  • Candidates of SC/ST category are required to have a minimum of 40% aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates who are in the final year of college can apply for the program if they satisfy other eligibility requirements.

Registration Process of LAWCET

Aspirants who match the eligibility standards can go through the following application procedure brief:

Step 1: Fee Payment & Payment Status

In order to access the form, candidates must pay the application fee. There are two mode of payment viz.

  • TS/ AP Online – where a candidate must report to the nearest TS/ AP Online center with the mandatory documents.
  • Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking – candidate must read all the instructions carefully and then click on ‘Make Payment’ option.

After the completion of fee payment, the status of the same must be checked. Enter the qualifying exam Hall Ticket No. and Mobile No. and click on ‘Check your Payment Status’ tab. After this, candidates will have two options:

  • Fill in the Application immediately (or)
  • Fill in the Application at a later date

Step 2: Fill TS LAWCET Application 

After succesful payment, candidate has to fill in online application form. After entering the required details, it is advised to preview the form and then submit it. 

Step 3: Print Application Form 

After submission of Application Form, candidate can take a printout of the submitted form.
