What is TS LAWCET 2026?

TS LAWCET stands for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test. Osmania University conducts this exam every year on behalf of TSCHE. It is the gateway for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated BA LLB programs in government, aided, and private law colleges across Telangana. The exam is also referred to as TG LAWCET following the state’s rebranding — both names refer to the same exam.

TS LAWCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

• You must be an Indian citizen
• You must be a local area resident (native) of Telangana as per TSCHE norms
• Candidates from Andhra Pradesh or other states are not eligible unless they meet the Telangana local area definition
• Foreign nationals, NRIs, and PIOs are not eligible to apply

TS LAWCET 2026 Qualifying Marks

SC/ST candidates who appear for the exam are considered for counselling and admission based on their rank within the reserved category, even if they score below 42 marks. General and OBC candidates who score below 42 are not eligible for counselling.

The exam center you select during the application is tentative. The center allotted to you will appear on your admit card. Once allotted, the exam center cannot be changed. TS LAWCET 2026 Admit Card

TS LAWCET 2026 admit card was released on May 12, 2026, about six days before the exam. Candidates downloaded it from the official portal using their registration number, date of birth, and mobile number. The printed admit card was mandatory to carry to the exam center — candidates without it were not permitted to appear for the exam.
