CMAT Cut off 2018 for SIMSREE

Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) was founded in the year 1983 and since then, it stands as one of the most popular management institutes in India.

SIMSREE offers admission to MMS, PGDM, MMM and MFM courses through CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA. CMAT 2018 Cut off is likely to be 99.96 percentile, according to the previous year trends.

The annual intake is 120, 60, 30, 30 in the MMS, PGDM, MMM, MFM courses respectively.  There is no GD or PI for admissions into MMS and PGDBM courses in SIMSREE. Students will be admitted into MMS and PGDM programs through CMAT Selection Procedure.

CMAT 2018 was successfully conducted on January 20, 2018. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) approved University/ Institutions/ Departments/Affiliated Colleges/ Constituent Colleges.


Expected CMAT 2018 Cut off for SIMSREE

SIMSREE offers various management courses at the postgraduate level such as Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDM), Master’s Degree in Financial Management (MFM), Masters of Management Studies (MMS) and Master’s Degree in Marketing Management (MMM). Admission to all the programs is done through CMAT.

In order to seek admission through CMAT, the minimum cutoff marks to be secured are around 99.96 percentile, according to the previous year trends.

Factors Affecting CMAT cut off 2018

The following are the factors that affect CMAT Cut Off:

  • Average marks scored in CMAT exam
  • Marking scheme including negative marking
  • Reservation Rules
  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Total number of seats offered
  • Admission trends of previous year

Cut-off marks vary from college to college. It is the minimum marks required to score by any candidate to get into the college of his choice. Candidates have to get the cut-off percentile to get shortlisted for the next round of selection process of admission.


SIMSREE Eligibility Criteria

SIMSREE offers PGDM and MMS courses in five different specializations namely Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Systems and Operations. Candidates are required to accomplish the eligibility criteria to get admission to the course and the criteria are the following:

  • Candidate must have a valid CAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ XAT/ ATMA score to get admission in PGDM and MMS. Read CMAT Eligibility 2018
  • To get admission in MMS and PGDM, it is requisite for the students to possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any stream with at least 50% aggregate marks and 45%, in case of reserved category students.
  • Students who are still in their final year of examination or are waiting for their results can also apply for admission to SIMSREE.
  • Candidates should possess a Graduation degree from a recognized university with at least two years of work experience pertaining to the field to get admission in MFM and MMM courses.

How to Apply at SIMSREE through CMAT 2018?

Below are the steps to follow in order to apply at SIMSREE:

  1. The student has to appear for MAH-CET conducted by DTE or any exam equivalent to MAH-CET (CAT and CMAT)
  2. Apply to Admission process of DTE  ( follow announcements at dte.org.in )
  3. DTE will conduct Document verification at ARCs
  4. On the basis of Percentile of Normalized score of entrance exams, seat allocation will be done by DTE on merit in CAP rounds

SIMSREE Selection Process

Admission of eligible candidates will be done on the basis of CMAT Result only. As per the official notification, no personal interview and group discussion will be conducted.

Various factors will affect the final selection of the students, like marks scored in the entrance examination and applicant’s performance in the entrance examination for getting admission into both MMS/ PGDBM courses.
