Remarks

The best College in my opinion. There will be always a positive remarks from my side when someone asks me about my College. I cannot see any negetive and so it is. My college is everyone's dream college.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's the best college. The course structure is like 1 + 1 + 1 system. This means 1 exam in a year and all the students needs to get a certain percentage to qualify for the next year because there is no pass course.

Placement Experience

Our college only prepare the students for there great future. There are no placements and job opportunity neither our college provide internship. The faculties only prepare students for their next step.

College Events

All cultural programs like Basanta utsab new year freshers welcome annual program. Dance song drama. Each and every occasion is celebrated within campus including Saraswati puja is also a part of celebration.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is very feasible. Fees are very low. Fees are taken annually and it's like nothing. Anyone can afford this fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship available for meritorious and financially weak students. Each and every faculties helps by giving notes and there is library facility available. Loan is also available if any student need.

Campus Life

Extra curricular activities in our college is extremely good and every students are encouraged to participate in annual program sports and all cultural programs. Lab facility is very good.

Alumni/Alumna

I am now in the alumni association. All the ex students and current students meet on a particular day. All the seniors are really helpful and they guide in each and every step you required. If someone don't know anything not to worry seniors and alumni are always there to help.

Admission

By merit list and interview. First I got selected in Merit list and I went there with all my documents. After Documents check I went through a small interview and I got selected in this college.

Faculty

Faculties are very helpful. All the professors are very helpful. They are highly qualified and they don't miss a class. There are different faculties to teach different syllabus. We always got supports from them.

Likes

One of the things i liked the most was the quality of lecture given by the professors
The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Likes

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

Everything you need to know before taking admission in Lady Brabourne College

I initially applied to Presidency University, Scottish Church College, Loreto College, Bethune. Taking the overall environment and faculty into consideration ( non union college) I opted for this college. Faced a rejection from Presidency and Loreto...but got into the rest two. The admissions are based off of 12th marks strictly. No other exams are accepted. One has to score very high to get into this college. Gen- above 95 Obc- 85 above Sc -75 above The above assumptions are just rough. One might be lucky enough to get into this college with lower marks or be unfortunate to not get into with much higher marks. Let's say a safe 90 above should be scored regardless of category. Lady Brabourne College: Is it worth it?

I got chance in a lot of different colleges under CU, State University, and Kalyani University, but chose this one since this is a reputed one with no political influence. I got rejected from Presidency University since I was not able to make the cut-off there, but LBC was my second choice, so I am kind of okay with it. General Students should have 90% up in 12th grade . Sclst student should have 80% Admission details are provided in CU website.
