I opted for Chemistry as it is my favourite subject, college is good, faculty is good, locality is really nice, ambience is also good, its a girl's College, it was my preference thats why i took admission in maitreyi college also my favourite subject was available to me.
Course Curriculum Overview
Syllabus, curriculum is well updated of my course, it is revised every year, yes we are provided enough industrial exposure, we are taken on industrial trips like NPTEL,NTPC, water plants etc where whole working process is explained to us in simple manner. Faculty of my department are aimable, knowledgeable, helpful, i have done many research projects in guidance of my professors in my second year. all are dedicated.
Placement Experience
being from science department, this is one thing which disappoints me as there are less placement and job opportunities for us. also the course itself is not sufficient to place us into a good job. otherwise for other courses, i have heard from other students that college offers good placement offers, the placement cell of college is improving each year, in lockdown period they continuously put efforts to bring opportunities to the students.
College Events
maitreyi college's campus life is good, it has lush greenery, good infrastructure. extracurricular activities or events like diwali mela, annual cultural fests, academic fest, inter or intra institutions competitions take place each year. annual day, republic day, yoga day also celebrated each year. alumni meet occurs each year, class toppers awarded, annual cultural fest attracts huge crowd as a celebrity like Darshan raval, gururandhawa were past performers.
