Because it is the best. Bits pilani is even better than most of the IITs,NITs and has a world class infrastructure and teaching structure. You wont get better placements in engineering from any other college(not even IIT Bombay in many aspects). So feel lucky if you manage to get admission here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is fully industry-oriented and is almost similar to that of world's top universities like MIT, Harvard. No attendance issues here. You are free to choose whatever subjects you want to study. Syllabus is as per the international standards. Faculty members are all experts in their subjects with lots of industry experience.
Placement Experience
If you are here in cse branch of pilani then you already know you will easily get a good package. all the major companies like Microsoft,google, Uber, Nutanix, Arcesium,DE shaw, Amazon,Cisco, Samsung visit here for on campus placements. Various companies of finance of also visit here and hire students with not so good academic performance (as no good cse student would prefer a finance company). college also arranges for internships for students.A dedicated cell for entrepreneurship is also present.
College Events
All socities like music,dance,art,theatre,cultural are present. We have a Big tecnical fest called Apogee.Many hackathons, ROBOTIC competitions are regularly held. One annual sports fest called BOSM is also organized with participation from all over the country. One annual fest OASIS is also organized by the students on a grand scale.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are 2main scholarship available. 1)On the basis of merit top 1%of the students get 100%scholarship and top 2%get 40%scholarship.2)Merit cum need- in this students with total family income less than 8lpa are provided with scholarships taking into consideration both their academics and financial status.You can easily get education loan also from any recognized bank easily as BITS has a great reputation.
Campus Life
The campus is 328acres in size and hence is huge.The whole campus is clean and green.sports grounds for cricket,football,hockey,tennis,badminton are present. We also have a swimming pool, a gym, an indoor game club. Campus and Hostels both have WIFI. Library is very huge in size and you can find all the books, papers, journals, here. Labs are all well equipped and well suited for research students.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, for first and second year students, hostel rooms are on double sharing basis and from third year rooms are given on single sharing basis. Rooms are very clean and well sanitized Common Room is air conditioned and has TV. Washrooms are clean. You can easily get a hostel here.
