Remarks

College staff is helpful and polite but they need to more active in doing their work. Regarding the faculty they need to be proactive and more practical towards their teaching approach. About the infra I would say itメs a thumbs up and keep up the good work.

Entrance Preview

Being a Delhi University College you have to fill a common application form for all the colleges. No entrance is required admission is on the basis of your 12th Percentage. Cut-off goes around 92% which does drop a bit in the second cut-off. Also there is a 5% rebate for Science students. I got in with 87% percent in best four subjects in 2010.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is historic and is focused on research and math more rather than computers. The course needs to be revised according the current IT industry needs and needs to be more practical oriented but course curriculum's do not change easily in DU.

Internships Opportunities

No internships provided as such. I remember a Session by HCL was organized in summer vacation about learning JAVA which was good and practical and the college took a little amount of fees for that but was very less and was completely worth. Need to have more of such sessions.

Placement Experience

3.5

The most important thing that i realized was that this course is not a replacement of B.Tech. You will not have many placement opportunities and they are not that good also after all it is just a Graduation course not a professional degree.I had to do an MCA to get better IT opportunities. So think before all the aspects before taking any decision.

College Events

3.5

There was a Tech Fest that took place in the college which was very good and interesting. Events like Lan Gaming,Programming,Dancing,Singing and various other games. But as the college is not located in North Campus you wonメt have that much fun over here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure very much feasible as it is a DU college. Compared to all other computer courses from private universities the fees was very less. It was around 25 thousand per year which is nothing for a computer course where you have cost involved in the lab facilities as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not think there's any loan facility for the General category students. Yes scholarship was provided to the student who came first second and third in the university but the amount was not much. It was more about recognition for your hard work.

Campus Life

4

The locality around college is very good although it is not located in North Campus. There are many Malls and multiplexes close by so you would not feel secluded. Lab facility is very good including the infrastructure of the college. There is a Tech Fest that takes place in the college which was very good and interesting. Events like Lan Gaming, Programming,Dancing,Singing and various other games.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No hostels were there in the college. But there were PG facilities nearby the college which were not difficult to find. No Mess food you have to arrange the food by yourself but there were many options outside the college. The locality around college is very good although it is not located in North Campus. There are many Malls and multiplexes close by so you would not feel secluded.

Alumni/Alumna

This is a very disappointing fact that the college does not do anything to be in touch with the alumni or exploit their experience in any way. It completely depends on you to be in touch with your seniors or alumni for any advice or experience.

Exam Structure

Yes too many exams and assignments as it is semester course. You will have difficult times and exams are pretty hard so you need to prepare well. Each semester had 5 subjects and practicalメs associated with them. The practical exams were in the college itself by an external from some other college and the for the theory exams there was a center in some other DU college.

Faculty

4

Faculty is knowledgeable but they need to be updated with the latest technologies going on and not just focus on theory and delivering their lectures. I will have to say that some faculty is willing to help and have the knowledge but not all. You will have to work hard on your own in some of the subjects as they exams are pretty difficult in DU.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements in the 3rd year of their graduation. Various companies offer multiple roles for placements on our campus like Nation With NaMo, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture etc. and the no. of offers made usually varies between 250-400 depending on the batch. The average package is around 6.5-7 LPA and the highest usually varies from 13-15 LPA L. Usually 50 percent of the students get placed directly from campus and rest usually pursue some other academic programs or even off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
