I have applied for this college because I was already interested in DU , and for life sciences Hansraj College is best. Good - teaching faculty , infrastructure , societies Bad - fees , low capacity in hostels Admission was very fluent this year was all online because of covid-19 , and you can expect the admission forms by the mid of August. I have already mentioned that this college is one of the best colleges for science students, and if u have got between 95-96% (general) u can easily get into it. I have used various websites for referring to this college like College dunia and Shiksha.
I chose this course because I have a very keen interest in research so the life sciences opens up a wide range of opportunities in the fields of biological and biochemical research. Faculty student ratio is 1:25. Faculty in my college is well trained and very qualified as all of them are holding doctorates and are NET qualified. Term exams are overall moderate if u attend the classes regularly and keenly
Yes my college offer Internship opportunities and they have a dedicated internship cell for the same, and most of the Internship are home-based, and the major companies that come are majorly start-ups, and the roles offered are HR, content editor, marketing, etc.
I guess from 5 th semester students are eligible for campus placement and for this, there is a placement cell also being run in the college. Some of the companies that come to our college are Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Josh talks, jio , yamaha , de Shaw, and co. The highest package offered is - 19 LPA The average package offered is - 8 LPA It depends on the course you opt for, but the highest placement is for commerce and economics. ( 70%) I am planning to do MSc after my grad. And then I will pursue research.
I will say that Hansraj College has Higher fees in comparison to other colleges, as in my course the fee is 25k / year, but in some good colleges, it's between 12-17k/ year. There are various scholarships opportunities that they provide so u can expect a fee reimbursement, and till now I am in 1st year so I haven't got a job so can't answer.
I have heard that there are many fests held at the campus, and some societies fest are also being held. There is a good Libra in our college with a plethora of good books. We have various amenities in classrooms as we have ACs in classes and it's all well furnished. There are various sports that are endorsed in our college. And one of the unique sport is Archery. Along with it basketball, cricket, kabaddi, football is also endorsed. There are various societies that are in college, and in every field like in literature, sports, music, dance, culture , environment , quiz , general knowledge etc.
Students become eligible for campus placements in their sixth semester. The placement cell of PGDAV(M) is well reputed and around 60-70 companies visit our college for placements every year but there is not much available for students in Mathematics Hons. The average package offered to students of this course is 3lpa. The percentage of students getting placement after three years is less than 10. Most of the students opt for this course as the basics for higher studies. I too will be giving entrance exams for master after this course.
Placements of our course are not up to the mark. However, many companies visit the college at the time of the placement fair but I don't find them useful for my course. You can choose for an internship to enhance your CV
The placement cell is actually very good and provides a lot of opportunities. There is an annual internship fair also where 100s of companies come and recruit students of all years and all courses as interns and the maximum stipend for these internships even go to 10k per month for just a part-time internship. The job opportunities are there but not very good for the science stream, they are much better for commerce and humanities. There are many Tier A and tier B companies recruiting a good amount of students like VQMS, SMAASH and many NGOs also. The placement percentage is around 60% and most of the students want to do post-graduation for further growth. I have plans to do MBA after my graduation.
From the 5th semester, students became eligible for campus placements. The college is best for placements. Placement fair held in the month of March where top MNCs visit our college to recruit students for jobs. Students of courses like Bcom, BBE, IT apply in large numbers. About 60% of the students get selected for final placements every year and around 80% of the students get internships from our course. Some of the companies i.e Allen, ICICI, Genpact, etc visit our college for placements. The maximum percent of students are placed after the course ended. The highest package of the college offered is 4LPA and the lowest is 2.5 LPA. Top roles are offered to BCom, BA Hons students in the business department. E&Y is one of the top recruiting companies. Generally, companies come for commerce and arts background students in our college. I am currently preparing for MBA i.e CAT exam and want to be in one of the top B schools.
Miranda House has one the best campus in DU. It is the topmost college of Delhi University. The infrastructure according to me in the entire north campus Miranda House has best infrastructure. We have two buildings one is new and one is old, both the buildings are maintained in great manner. Hygiene is the main priority. The labs are maintained perfectly. The library of the college according to me is best. The food of our college is really good in taste and fresh as well.
the college is situated in the east of Delhi region and is affiliated to DU and offers only courses related to nursing and medical fields. the college opts for the entrance test for the admissions in the college. the college admissions is based on the admission list prepared by the college on the basis of marks scored in the entrance test.
no the college doesn't provide internship to the students but there are several medical associations and chambers who visit the college campus for the placements to the students but only can make it. the remaining rest will have to look on their own.
