Remarks

Hiii peeps... It became an amazing journey for a guy who belongs from a rural area and did his secondary education from an RBSE school where there was everything in the name of study. So, I always wanted my higher education done from any reputed and prestigious college which can fulfill all the requirements of a student like me by providing diverse disciplines entries along with an ample number of ECA clubs or whatever we call societies to develop a hobby and many more skills. This context best suited for the HANSRAJ COLLEGE of Delhi University. The college is one of its kind.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I have already mentioned I am a student of mathematics. Though I have the opportunity to choose Honors courses yet I preferred to choose a programming course in Bsc; not because of the quality and faculty reasons. Honors courses are always good and HANSRAJ COLLEGE is the best one. I chose this course primarily because it offered me a wide range of subjects (Physics, mathematics, chemistry). The faculty are highly qualified(Ph.D. scholar) and also net and JRF qualified. The student-to-teacher ratio is not that great in theory class but in lab classes, it is 1:25 if all students appear for it. The college follows the DU curriculum all the time. The exam is conducted twice a year alongside every other college and is relatively easy to pass if you had a basic knowledge of your courses.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

HANSRAJ COLLEGE provides varied internship opportunities. There is a dedicated Internship cell that offers a lot of internships to the students throughout the academic year. Moreover, it offers both on and off-campus internship opportunities. I haven't done any internship so, I can't express opinions anymore.

Placement Experience

4.5

Another good thing about HANSRAJ COLLEGE is that it has its dedicated placement cell which works actively. Every year there are many students get placements after completing their graduation. The companies give priority to the students in the name and fame of HANSRAJ and its alma mater. Generally, the placement the students get varies between 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs depending on the ability of the student. There are many students who get more than 10 lakhs Very important, if you want to get placement after completing college, you have to join the placement cell of HANSRAJ COLLEGE during 1st year. Start working with the cell and learn the requirements of the companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

HANSRAJ COLLEGE is regarded as one of the best colleges in India with a good ranking fluctuates between 1 to 10. But in comparison with other DU colleges, its fees are relatively high for every course. I think this is one drawback of it. Every other facility provided here is of its kind. According to my, you will need approx. 1.2 lakh (including college fee) to survive in Delhi. A student like me always in a need of some type of scholarship or any job opportunity. 1) SCHOLARSHIP OPTIONS: There are two types of scholarships available to the students in general. First, you can avail scholarships given by Central and respective state govt. like NSP, INSPIRE. Second, the scholarship is given by the college itself. But it is very hard to get and is in less amount too. 2) JOB OPPORTUNITIES: There are many job opportunities available to each skilled student. Like, there are many startups that need young and enthusiastic students. They will approach you through conducting workshops in your college.

Campus Life

4.5

'Confluence ' is the annual fest conducted at HANSRAJ COLLEGE during the month of March and April. This weekend-long fest is full of joy and entertainment. There are quiz rounds, interesting games, and mini stalls of handicrafts, foodstuff. You can find many videos uploaded on YouTube. Once you got admission at HANSRAJ COLLEGE, and if you love reading, you will find lucky yourself because there are hundreds of thousands of books available in the college library. It is well maintained, air conditioning two-floor building which holds an ample amount of books on various disciplines. The amenities provided in the class are enough fans and A/C's, one green and one whiteboard, a projector, wooden tables, and chairs. There are lots of clubs like NSS, NCC, SPIC MACAY, NISHTHA, EU-EOC, PIXELS, KAVYANJALI, DRAMATICS, SWARANJALI, etc. You can check out these on Instagram and Facebook. Sports at HANSRAJ are all good. Student can join it through trails. There is GYM facility also provided.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

HANSRAJ COLLEGE provides hostel facilities to boys only. If you want to be a hostelite, you have to fulfill certain criteria. There is a complete process for admission to the hostel. First, you have to fill the registration form in which you have to mention your 12th-grade marks, your home district, and its distance from Delhi. On the basis of these details, you get admission. The facilities provided here are awesome. You will be allotted two seated rooms having a bed, study table, and two almirahs. There is a study room which can hold 20-30 students at a time, a common room with the connectivity of TV, a GYM for fitness lover, a DHABA works as a lifeline other than an official mess. You will be amazed for the first day when you enter the mess. The meal served here is of its kind and delicious. You will get a different kind of dishes. The mess opens three times a day. The food given here is hygienic and there is proper care of sanitation. The only con of it is the high fee in contrast with other DU hostels.

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.

The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
