Remarks

I heared a lot about REVA University from my cousin, who was also in this college. She told me about the best branches of B.Tech. provided by the university. To apply for this course I was suppose to have passed my 12th class with a minimum aggregate of 45%. I applied for the REVA CET exams orgnised by the university. I registered for this online and had to pay Rs. 1000/ as a registeration fees. On the basis of my REVA CAT exams I was selected by the university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

To make my childhood dream of being an engineer come ture, I chose this course. The course curriculum is well planned. This program helps us to develop critical, innovative and creative thinking and enables us to solve the problems smoothly. The faculty : students ratio is 600:15000. Faculty of my course is friendly and very helpful, most of them are qualified with P.hD. The exams pattern and paper level is fine and I do'nt find it difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

I worked as a Research Intern in Philips for two months. My job was to designed and implement the requirement by collaburatin with system engineer and architect. I was also suppose to identify and resolve technical risks. I was paid Rs. 5000 in total from this internship.

Placement Experience

Students after completing their second year are eligible for sitting in the campus placement. Numerous companies that visit our campus for placement are Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Tata group etc. The percentage of placement is 95%. The average salary package offered is Rs. 350000 per annum and the highest salary package offered is Rs. 2000000 per annum. I am also looking forward to get a good job through the campus placement.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My tution fees for this course is approx. 1200000 which is neither less nor more. We get scholarship like defence , NCC , sports (my friend was a National level bad minton champion and got 30% scholarship of fees) etc.

Campus Life

4.5

The universtiy gives its students a natural and learning enviornment. We have the library having books and Journals in both print and e-form. REVAMP is one of the test which is orgnised every year by the university. Extra curricular activities like NCC, sports and cultural activities etc. are prevalent. There are few clubs that are orgnised by students like literary club, science club, sports club etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

Rooms of hostel are well furnished and spacious. We have options of sharing a room with three or four girls or owning it individually. Meals of hostel are very good with seperate mess for boys and girls. For registeration in hostel we are suppose to give a demand draft in favour of " REVA Hostel" payable at Bangalore.

Admission

I gave the REVA CAT test of the university. The question paper carries a weightage of 120 marks ( I scored 109 marks ). The exam is held in the month of April. By this exams the university generally check the knowledge of the subjects like physics, maths, reasoning etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
