Remarks

The college management and higher ups have very less knowledge about the problems being faced by the students. They do not take feedback and there is no dedicated channel as to achieve this either.

Entrance Preview

I gave many entrance exams but for this particular university, they did not consider those. 12th exam scores were considered and JEE scores were looked at as well as the SAT. These were checked to see which scholarship category i fall under.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is on par with usual B.Tech programs with courses like Management, Economics, Chemistry and Biology as well as core Computers Subjects. Some extra credit courses were mandatory which i did not like. Electives are chosen at the end of the 3rd year. Foundation courses that are unrelated are taken too seriously.

Internships Opportunities

The college has a dedicated placement and internship cell called the centre for industry collaboration. This cell gets many varied offers and has understandings with many companies and institutes for providing internships to the students. The stipend depends on the companies. Ranging from nil to tens of thousands.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job opportunities cannot be commented upon as i am only in the second year.

College Events

3.5

Annual Fest, "Ingenuity", is held around the month of March which lasts for 3 days. Many sponsors and performances take place famous personalities, EDM musicians and DJs visiting. This year AIB comedian Zakir Khan and two female musicians are visiting.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is slightly expensive as compared to other institutes offering the same courses. NIIT offers three different types of scholarships with 25%, 50%, 75% waiver of tuition and hostel fees. This is maintained when a cgpa of at least 7.5 is maintained.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is chill and most students spend evening outdoors, interacting with others, taking part in activities or playing sports. Half the campus strength stems from south india while the rest is a varied mix. Twice a year there is a week or so dedicated to sports and other activities including cultural things and hobbies.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel rooms are in triple, double and single basis. There are two hostels. The rooms are not furnished apart from the default bed, mattress, curtain, cupboard. No attached washrooms, and the maintenance staff is not efficient at all. Mess food tastes good in the first week but stays on a constant and gradual downwards spiral to being disgusting.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very helpful and there isnt any ragging etc. Interactions were always positive and seniors and juniors interact as friends. There isnt any hierarchy etc or bullying.some amount of introductions are taken at the starting by the seniors of the juniors which result in communication.

Exam Structure

There are two mid semester examinations of 20-30 marks and one Comprehensive exam at the end of the semester for each subject. Labs are hectic and duration is very long. Some amount of untold assessment is taken in every second class.

Faculty

2.5

The core faculties, for example, Mathematics and Computer Programming etc are extremely knowlegeable and talented. The extra subjects do not have great faculty. They will not take an interest in the students but will only do as much work as is necessary and not an ounce more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is well structured and designed for students to learn the subject in detail and to know about topics in detail and make sure to understand things clearly before implementing them in real life. There are certain areas for improvement but they will keep get better. Timetable should be made such that students get break in between the classes so that they can be less exhausted throughout the day

Obviously there is a campussing process that gives the students the opportunity to get their desired job. You can also go off campus to get bigger opportunity, but it will be on your head only that means it's a risk. But the average placement provided by the university is 6 lakhs and the highest one is 72 lakhs per annum.
