Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose B.Sc. Hons. Mathematics because I wanted to study something interesting invigorating and challenging. Also I wanted to improve my problem solving and reasoning skills. According to me it provides someone the opportunity to deal with real world problems for a particular semester the faculty student ratio is 2:7 and the faculty members of all the departments are highly qualified and well trained. They are very much understanding supportive and helpful in nature. All the faculties are scholars with PhD from top universities in India. The exams are held at the end of each semester every year. As when I got admission to DU the classes are held in online mode and so are the exams. They were taken in OBE mode. Total four hours are given for each paper that is divided in the manner of 3 + 1 hours that is 3 hours for writing and one hour for downloading paper and uploading of answer sheets.

5

A lot many companies and organisations hire students as an intern for various roles such as research associate, sales and marketing, human resource, content writing, marketing, graphic designer, digital marketing, web development, blogging etc. Internships are unpaid with the certificate and LOR as well some are paid with stipends ranging from INR 5000 to INR 12000 per month. These internships help students to enhance their skills and build up their confidence level.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our college has an internship cell that provides quality internships and exposes to every student. As far as jobs are concerned, Hansraj college has an active placement cell. Private companies completed interviews for the jobs interview in the form of group discussions of personal interviews takes place. The highest CTC so far from our course has been 18 lakh per annum and average package stands at 6 lakh per annum. I got a placement package of 12 lakh per annum. I am in my final year of undergraduate and I am highly satisfied that I've got placed in a decent company via my placement cell.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hansraj College is a government college the fee is not very much high as compared to other private colleges. It is very affordable. The fee structure of all the courses varies between INR 20k-30k per year. Also, there is some fee concession for students who can avail of this by fulfilling the required criteria. Some scholarships for economically challenges and deserving candidates are given by the college authority. There are many government scholarships as well such as inspire scholarship in which one can get INR 60000 per year up to five years of the graduation and post graduation but remember one thing that at a time a person can avail of anyone scholarship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
