Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose this course because I was studying medical science in school and I wanted to opt for zoology but I wasn't able to get that because of my low percentage in 12th that's y I thought to take botany so here I am in botany hons course. Faculty-student ratio lies somewhat at 10:6 Faculty members are graduated post-graduated as well as Ph.D. level studied. Term exams are held properly every 4-5 months and they are so easy.

Placement Experience

5

From the 5th semester, students get eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Flipkart, ekart ,myntra ,ICICI bank ,futerX, HDFC bank, Facebook, etc came to our campus for placements. The highest package received by a student was around 8 lakhs per annum and the average package received by students is 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. 50 percent of students get placed in companies other students do not take part in all this because they want to pursue there future studies as well. My plans after getting the degree are to study for the MBA exam. I want to Crack the IIM Institute and want their admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for our college and course are not variable it is fixed at 23000 and the cost of the study is mediocre. Many types of scholarships are provided like vice-chancellor scholarships, botanic scholarships, Principle special scholarships, far learning scholarships, etc. Financial assistance is provided by the college department TIC sir or mam, they will help you to sort your problems. We don't get any job and stipend in graduation level in botany hons course. we only get jobs after completing post-graduation.

Campus Life

5

Many types of fests are organized by the college and botany department also itself like Diwali mela, food fest, rang mahotsav , haso Mahotsav, etc. All types of books and journals are available in the college library itself and of all course all editions new and old. You can have the right to issue any book of your choice. All types of sports are available on sports grounds like football cricket badminton archery etc. Many social groups are run by students like NSS NCC WDC, sports society, art society, botanique society, etc. All info about this is available on the college website you can check it out. Every student must join any of the social group clubs or society for his or her personality development.

Admission

Eligibility, of course, depends upon the percentage you got or if it matches the cut-off or not ..if it matches the cut off then you will get admission easily. All application forms are available on DU website. http://www.du.ac.in. Reservation benefits help in getting admission of some particular students easily in the lower cut-off. No need for improvement in the admission process everything is fine and well good.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Life Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 2, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Life science includes zoology botany and chemistry considering this combo I think the study material is quite okay in terms of topics chemistry connects school teaching with one step ahead learning . Zoology provides new insights on various topics . Botany covers deeper understanding of syllabus . So overall it's good . Hands on lab work meets the demand of the subject . Also the topics taught match with the type of questions asked in exam. Difficulty level i would say it's moderate for botany and zoology but for chemistry is quite tough. Time management is a much needed skill for examination purpose. For course curriculum i would say more focus on current situation should be laid rather than history .

I think that the course curriculum is good and well managed . The curriculum has all necessary subjects related to our course as well as all other necessary subjects like human values and basic ethics. I find our course curriculum is apt for our course . Thought their is a lag for more practical learning and skills. It will be better if they add more practical learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus of Electronics Hons and Electrical Engineering is same but makes it different is how we perceive it. We study the syllabus with theoretical aspects while the engineers with practical aspects. We have a chance to opt for the 4th year, which only comprises of Research. One of the optionals is Generic Elective and if you take GE from same department for all semesters, you will attain a minor degree. The Faculties and whole curriculum is great but the other optionals require improvement. The other optionals only make the Student Life hectic, that stumbles the Student's focus from Course track.
