Likes

Inter-college and intra-college fests equipped with dj, fashion show and flash mob
Our library is full of books and knowledge and now it also have vending machine so you can take a quick break and have somthing to eat
Food festivals and clubs in our college always have some kind of new opportunities and activities for the student

Dislikes

Our college is not very language inclusive

Course Curriculum Overview

As my college comes under vtu so the curriculum is the same as any other vtu affiliated college and the faculty members are good. They provide a question bank with all the questions to cover for the internal assessment exam and if you cover it thoroughly, you'll definitely get out of out. One con of the faculty members of my college is that they like to speak and teach in Kannada which makes us non-locality feel separate and there are one or two teachers in every Sem who literally revert back to Kannada while explaining important things and give important exam information

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are always provided and any upcoming internships are always posted on our college discord server with clear eligibility requirements and stipend. We are also informed about different internship portals where we can apply for internships

Fees and Financial Aid

Compared to every other college in Bangalore the fee structure is very feasible including all the exam fees in every Sem. It also provides scholarship opportunities and placement training is a part of our timetable.

Campus Life

The social life on campus is very good with many different technical and non-technical clubs available to join and yearly intra-college fests and a grand alternative year inter-college fest. Our college also celebrates many festivals and we have programs at these festivals.

Admission

I got into this college through comedk entrance exam but still, my fees are a little higher than management students who pay only 1.5 LPA. It is a completely first come first serve basis regarding management admission. My comedk rank was 30k and I got other colleges like Presidency and svit in my first two rounds but as they are very far and situated in a remote location, so I choose svce which is just 15 min from my home on a bike. And max 40 min from the bus.

The faculty's are well qualified, and they have a good teaching methods.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been from diploma background, after diploma I joined this course as later entry (direct admission to 2nd year). In diploma also, I have studied the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) course. As I know the basic concepts about this course, it is easy for me now to understand the concepts.

I great there is no ragging in our college
There is a discipline in our college and good atmosphere
there is good faculty in our college and nature is good

Dislikes

there is no specific sports for there course
vehicles parking is not good our the college

from 5 th semester there will be campus place ment is there There will many companies are visited , like Amazon, google, There is 60 lakh per annual but i didn't known which companies there will be 80 percent students are getting placement my plan is to make money and help the poor peoples There is beast placement in our college , there will be a internships and good here for Hailey package in this college

Good Infrastructure and Career Opportunities

Likes

Yes the first thing I liked is the campus and the environment there is no harrasment and strict action will be taken.
And second thing is faculty members are so helpful and they always help to students and different festival
And also the campus provide all facilities and make helps to sports and ration is almost equal of boys and girls

Dislikes

Yes some things are there which I disliked first is the campus is very strict and no function are organised yearly ones or twice is very sad thing as compared to other campus
Second thing is food students facing some problem with the food which hear prepared so outsiders facing lot of problems
Third is about hostel facility is good but very strict only once a week the students should go out side and write leave letter to go there native places.

Placement Experience:

Students got opportunity to eligible after 3rd year mainly in 7th semester students get opportunity for campus interview. In my college the company which came to hire is congizent and microsoft and amezon and dell nearly 80 to 90 company are came. The company offers is highest is 40 lack per annum which google provide and minimum is 4lack . Mainly 80 percent of the students are placed every year but due to war happened in the global impact in placement I want to do masters in abroad and then go to the company

Likes

very first thing i like in the college is the wifi network,
the library which is very peace and silent
average places to take photos and nearby there is nandi hills to visit

Dislikes

i dislike the distance of the college, its too large, should walk soo much
the cost of stationaries in the general store
i dont think so faculy are that much expertise , only countable people worth it

see i have choosed this course because it is very relatable to CSE, coz my ranking was not sufficient to get this course. the course which i took "Information Science and Engineering" is really a good course. they make us real world engineers. the area they shld actually improve is, hiring worthable faculty.

Likes

Campus is good and mainly located near Whitefield.
too good supportive professor. Staff are too chill. Some staff are like our bestfriend's.
Lab equipment are good . You are not facing any issue with pc.. it's good

Dislikes

There is only few events in a year. I think only 3 events.
Hostel building is too bad. And hostel food is too bad.
There is no field to play games like cricket, football.

Placement Experience:

After 8 sems we are eligible for placements. TCS ,Dell and many companies visited mvj. Highest package of mvj was 22lakhs per annum. Basically some companies ask CGPA at above 8. My plan is a developer after my engineering in python language or Else I will continue my dad business

Insights of the Gopalan college of engineering and Management by a First Year Student

Likes

Canteen is fine has nice and tasty food and quite a lot of options
Library is also good has every book related to my course and few others as well
Lab facilities are also very nice and the college has a nice crowd

Dislikes

It's nothing like I expected, they don't let students use the ground or turfs. Facilities are pretty bad.
They charge money for everything and has zero facilities for college students. Everything is for there school students.
College is very small and the faculties are rude to students. (Mostly the case)

Placement Experience:

Student are eligible for placements from there 7th semester but I wouldn't recommend relying on college for placements. Not many companies come to this college so placements are really bad. If u have skills it would be better to apply to companies on your own. I don't have details on how many students gets placed but as much as I know it's about 30-50 % And average package is also very low. I plan of gaining skills and certification on my own and job hunting myself in 4th year through my connections and internships. Or maybe go abroad for masters As I'm a first year student I don't know much about which companies come and how much they offer.

Good ranking of college among other private colleges of India
Best location of college in the silicon valley of India
Various opportunities of internship to students

Dislikes

Campus area of the college is less than expexted
Conditions of hostels and mess is not good
Teachers and professors are not good in explaining concepts to students

Placement Experience:

From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

Last year placement percentage was 97% average package is 8.97 lpa my plan is to sit for placements

Remarks:

No comments on management except on decision taking, they take strict decision on attendance, discipline etc but we don't like tat. As though students are ment to break rules.

I join this college to Kcet allotment actually my 12th and 10th marks were good ...but my certification rank was not good i messed up so I knew I'll get a average college and i felt this college was better than the other colleges which I got allotted so i joined here...it's not bad but yeah an average college...admission process of colleges we have to give all the certificate study certificate TC of previous classes and eligibility we have to pass KCET and your done with your 12th..exams accepted here KCET and comedk test ...through exams i.e kCeT we have to pay 129000 for your addmission...Read More
