Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As I belong to humanities background from class 12th and I have also the keen interest in studying the history the faculties are good and the ratio is about one faculty per 40 students which is the strength of each section. All faculties are highly knowledgable and naturewise are also good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is ok is about 14000 to 15000 depends on every college but it is the average in most of the colleges and there are many scholarship by universitty of delhi in which we can apply and get the benefit of that scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

Fests are very important part of delhi university and occured about every month excluding exam time and the overall crowd and exposure is very good. There are many societies belonging to different fields and interest anyone can join including music, dance, drama, astronomy, civil cervices, etc. The library is very good and opens from 8am to 8pm from monday to saturday, approximately all the books availabe in the library related to different fields classrooms have good infrastructure.

Admission

I gave the Common university entrance exam(CUET) by chooosing subjects in cuet 3domains(which I opted in 12th) +one language(must be opted in 12th). By choosing this combination of subjects I gave the CUET examination and I scored 712/800 and finaaly I applied on DU csas portal where I alotted ramjas college witb BA(hons) history in first round of councelling by the using the benefit of OBC-NCL certificate. The overall admission process is simple but keep focus on entering your correct personal details and the name of candidate and his/her parents must match in all the documents including.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
