Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum encompasses all the broad topics of Indian and International history. It glosses over everything that a student would need to pursue Masters in History. The total number of students would be around 60 with about 15 of them being girls and about 45 boys. The faculty has excellent qualifications and most of them have great experience with teaching. The exams are conducted timely. It is easy to pass the exams but competition for the class top spot is quite tough.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is submitted at the beginning of the semester for the entire year and is easily feasible even for the poor. There are various scholarships available for the needy students as well as for students who score top grades in the class. There are no campus placements for this course.

Campus Life

4.5

The social circle Jamia Millia Islamia offers is one the best in the entire country. People from all backgrounds and all walks of life make the best of friends with each other. Jamia boasts of a prominent library with some of the best collections in multiple literatures, be it academic or otherwise. Annual celebrations, sports days, clubs, fests are a commonality in Jamia.

Admission

Jamia Millia Islamia held its own entrance exam in 2020 but now it conducts the entrance exam for History Hons through CUET. The cut off for the first list in general category usually stays around 55-60 marks out of 100.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
