Course Curriculum Overview
I chose BA (hons) Eco as my major and the course is relatively overhyped. It is a difficult course but is said to have good career opportunities. The course prepares one well for academic pursuits but has very minor real world applications. It falls upon the student to put in the extra efforts to gain the most out of it. The exams dates were also stretched out a bit with exams taking place on inconvenient days.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a government university, the fee is nominal at only 10-15k per annum and one can further opt for financial aid to ease the burden if any. There are no campus employment opportunities for the students. Their is additional exam fees to appear for the examinations and the course books are bought at an additional cost.
Campus Life
The campus life experience for everyone varies drastically. There are plenty of socities or clubs for one to join, both cultural and professional that indulge ones social aspirations, career goals, and passions. There is availability of sports facilities, student unions, etc. The particular college under DU dictates the infrastructure of the college but their is development and better infrastructure is available. Libraries are thorough.
Admission
The eligibility of the course was having maths at the high school graduation level. The entire process took place online through NTA, CSAS website and was fairly simple except the servers not responding at times of high traffic. The eligibility criteria could have been better explained. The exam dates hot postponed a lot and in conclusion the foremost improvement can be made in analysis the no of applications and preparation of the facilities accordingly.
