Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Chemistry)

Remarks

My college's good remark is it has good infrastructure and college management is so co-operative.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

My course curriculum is reliable and relevant. All college of Delhi uni5 has the same course curriculum and exam structure. You need to not to give more than 1 exam for 1 subject. Like chemistry, you have to give 1 exam of chemistry in physical, organic or inorganic.

Placement Experience

3.5

My course is BSC PS chemistry so my department has not such placements but ba economics Hons and commerce related courses have big placements and you can also find internships here. Disha, the Placement Cell of Hindu College has been on the fore in bringing about exciting job opportunities for all courses. The cell organizes seminars and workshops on career-related matters.

College Events

5

There are so many events celebrate d in college but mecca fest and function s during which a guest come like Bollywood celebrities and some other college events. Hindu college comes under Delhi university so a lot of events are celebrated here. Festivals are also celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. As far as tech fest is concerned it is not celebrated in Delhi University.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My fee during my admission in 1st year is about 17600. But you have to pay for accommodation extra.in case of the hostel, you have to pay about 60000 for one year. Delhi University is a government-funded university so all the colleges come under it are very feasible. They are very cheap as compared to other government-funded colleges. They are also good enough to provide a good education.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I do not opt for any scholarship or education loan, but you can opt if you want something like this. Bhasin Memorial Prize. Awarded every year to the student standing First in M.A. (P) English, and securing at least an II Division. In case no student in M.A.(P) English satisfies the minimum condition for eligibility, the Prize is awarded to a student studying B.A (H) English III year on the basis of his/her result.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is going to be very healthy and it has almost 600/400 boys/girl gender ratio and the labs are so amazing. You can find every apparatus and chemistry chemicals in the lab. Hindu college is one of the top colleges of North Campus of Delhi University academic wise and infrastructure wise as well. The college provides adequate facilities and opportunities for overall personality development.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are so helpful and co-operative. They tell us about all happenings in college.some of the alumni are Raj K Bhargav, IAS Vinod Rai, 11th Comptroller and Auditor General of India. Hardeep Singh Puri, IFS,& Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations.

Admission

I got the admission in this College through merit base of 12th class marks. The admission process is quite long but interesting. I got an admission at this College with my friend's suggestion. The admission process is with long. First, you have to verify your documents in college in your respective departments after cutoff and take some signatures of faculty then you have to submit it and pay the fee online.

Faculty

3

My college is quite good and someone excellent. Everyone has his own point of view for explaining the faculty of the college. My college has different departments and this department has different classes and it depends on you how you see the teachers Teachers are highly classified n always ready to help whenever stuck in a problem and easy to reach them.

I will rate the course curriculum 8/10. I like the labs specially they are modern with well equiped systems. According to me I suggest to improve the course structure to include more practical based learning instead of theory. Overall course is good.

Students of 6th sem are eligible for the campus selection process. Our course also have placement programs. Some companies that visit here are TCS, Wipro and few more the no of offers made depend upon the performance of student in the placement cell. The highest package as per my knowledge is 13 lakhs and the average here is 6 lakhs. Sorry for the inconvenience but I don't have any knowledge regarding the job profile given. The placement percentage changes every year depending upon the respective batch. My planning after the course is either placement otherwise my prime goal CSE.
