What Students Say
Likes
- The faculty is great. They really work on researching and teaching you everything about the topic that you are studying.
- The college really works on extra curricular activities. There are so many college societies that you can be a part of.
- The other thing that I find really good about this college is that if you really want to do it all and participate in everything, you will surely have a great time here.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is something that they really need to work on. It could be better and also, the maintenance is a necessity.
- The college authorities do need to maintain some discipline during the fests as it always leads to fights.
- Lastly, placements is a very important thing. The college should really strive to provide placements to its students of all courses.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very good, it really brings together all the kind of writers, novels, short stories, poems etc at your disposal. If you love reading and learning new things in life. This is a very comprehensive course and in a way, it does shape your mind to grasp things in a better way, both academically and in life.
Internships Opportunities
The internship experience is not that great when it comes to my college but I can't say the same for every DU college. Maybe other colleges do provide better internship opportunities. You could apply through apps like intershala or LinkedIn, and work through interviews and all to get a good internship. But the college does provide you with every bit of knowledge to ace that internship.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure, I believe is really affordable and also, could be helped with if you provide the appropriate certificates and documents. The tuition doesn't increase dramatically. My fees was around 10000-12000 per annum. If you want to earn as a student, you could apply for internships which really help in the overall development.
Campus Life
If you are an extrovert and like to be involved in academic and extracurricular, DU is a good place to be, as you can find anything and everything in terms of hobbies. There are societies in every college and you can choose one on the basis of your liking. These societies have their annual fests, and also inter-college events where you can participate and compete against other college students. There is also student union which helps to act as a student representative and hence work for the betterment of the students. The great part is that you get to elect them through elections held in college
Admission
The admission process was quite simple I believe. The marks in your CUET UG exam would be the deciding factor for this. Every college has its official website where you can find the course fee. Whereas the registration fees and other details would be on the official website of DU.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is okay, but it could really be better. Most of the faculty is well learned and really experienced, but there are some who shouldn't be teaching college students at all. Teachers are really helpful and agreeable when it comes to studying. If you want to learn, you could interact with the faculty and brainstorm about the ideas in your mind.
